Tom Hiddleston Up For Emmy Nomination, Speaks The Truth About Relationship With Taylor Swift

There has been total chaos in the celebrity world ever since Tom Hiddleston was seen canoodling with Taylor Swift. Many speculations have been swirling on why the pop star has moved on so fast after breaking up with DJ Calvin Harris. The latest rumor is that their relationship is all just a publicity stunt. The actor has finally spoken out about that. He has also spoken out on that important Emmy nomination that he just nabbed today as well.

This is his very first Emmy nod, which was announced on Thursday morning, for his role as Jonathan Pine on AMC’s The Night Manager. The 35-year-old Thor star is pretty psyched up right about now. He is thrilled that he is being recognized for his acting chops and he also has a new girlfriend to share it with.

The Hollywood Reporter has posted an interview with Hiddleston while he was spending some time in Australia filming Thor: Ragnarok. While the chat was mostly talking about his amazing Emmy nomination, most of the world just wanted to hear about his romance with Taylor Swift. So, is Tom and Taylor doing all of this as a publicity stunt? The answer straight from Tom Hiddleston is a definite no. They are definitely dating and loving every minute of it.

“Well, um. How best to put this? That notion is — look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking. That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”

There you have it. These two are together for sure. This relationship is the real deal and they are quite inseparable at the moment. They have already met each other’s parents and are currently together in Australia as well.

Talking about the Emmys, Tom Hiddleston said that he was quite surprised that he received such a high recognition. He mentioned how much he loved playing his AMC character. He said it was the most fulfilling role that he has accomplished. Fellow Brits and good friends, Idris Elba and Benedict Cumberbatch, are also nominated for the same category, so they will be going up against each other.

When asked who he is planning on taking with him to walk the red carpet at the Emmys in September, Tom humorously mentioned that he didn’t even know he could take someone with him. He blamed the early morning hours in Australia for not being able to really think clearly about it just yet. Of course, the Emmys are a couple of months away, so you just never know what will happen before then. Things can change quickly as seen in the life of Taylor Swift.

It seems that Tom Hiddleston is in a good place right now, even if he does have to deal with all of the haters out there who are confused on what has happened in the last few weeks. The world was not only shocked when Taylor and Calvin Harris broke up, but when she was seen getting cozy with the Brit so soon afterwards, everyone seemed to be quite confused.

While Hiddleston is busy filming, Taylor has been seen out and about in Australia doing some shopping. She is currently embroiled in a heated debate with her ex over his and Rihanna’s song, “This Is What You Came For,” which he admitted Taylor Swift wrote before their breakup. The problem that the “Shake It Off” singer has is that Harris never acknowledged her involvement with the tune until now. Of course, that all started the interesting tweets from the DJ.

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept a secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

Taylor used the secret name of Nils Sjoberg in the credits instead of her own. He went on to address his ex-girlfriend to let her know that she should be focusing on her new relationship instead of tearing him down. She has yet to address any of Calvin Harris’ posts, but from the looks of the most recent photos of Taylor Swift, it looks like she is definitely focusing on Tom Hiddleston at the moment.

In fact, Hollywood Life has even gone so far as to report that this feud could actually bring Tom to propose to his 26-year-old girlfriend. This is probably not true as they have only been together since June, but the rumors will always be out there while they are together.
