‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Season 7 Newbie Dolores Catania: Everything We Know So Far
The Real Housewives of New Jersey introduced two new ladies during its long-awaited Season 7 premiere.
Dolores Catania will join Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, and fellow newbie Siggy Flicker this season, and she is sure to bring plenty of drama of her own. With that in mind, here’s everything we know about RHONJ’s newest cast member.
According to Romper, Catania started her humble career working as a surgical technician and a correctional officer. She started to attain wealth, however, after getting into the real estate business.
Catania owns a number of different fitness centers throughout New Jersey and has amassed a considerable fortune in the process. To date, the reality star’s fortune is estimated at over $3.5 million.
Although Catania makes the majority of her earnings from real estate, Bravo is reportedly paying her $30,000 for every episode of RHONJ.
As far as her personal life is concerned, Catania has two children who are both in college. She was married to Frank Catania, whom she divorced some 15 years ago.
Speaking of her ex-husband, 2 Paragraphs reports that they co-own Gold’s Gym in Teterboro, New Jersey. Catania’s split with Frank was amicable, and fans can expect Frank to make occasional appearances on the reality show.
Frank is also an attorney whose specialty is gambling law. He graduated with a law degree from Seton Hall University and served as the head of the Division of Gaming Enforcement in New Jersey in the past.
Meanwhile, Romper is also reporting that Catania takes great pride in spending time with her family. In fact, the majority of her social media posts are about her children, Gabrielle (20) and Frankie (17).
Apart from her kids, Catania is an avid dog lover. She currently lives with four rescue dogs and describes herself as a person with a “tough exterior but a really big heart.”
As far as The Real Housewives of New Jersey is concerned, Catania is friends with most of the current cast members.
According to E! Online, Catania is great friends with Giudice, who just returned home after a long term behind bars.
Catania is also well acquainted with the show’s other newbie, Flicker.
“We’re both a lot alike. I have history with every single person on the cast,” Catania explained.
“That’s key,” Laurita chimed in.
Apparently, Catania has been friends with Laurita and Giudice for a number of years now.
“She gets me and I get her,” Giudice added about Catania.
Catania and Giudice allied with each other during the Season 7 premiere, and their friendship isn’t likely to fall apart anytime soon.
“We’re like true Italians: we’ll stick with you till the end,” Catania shared.
The trailer for the new season of RHONJ featured Catania and Laurita discussing how Giudice was handling her husband’s prison sentence.
At one point, Catania shouted at her friend, “Trust me when I f**king tell you, I’ve had enough of it all! I don’t f**king deal with this s**t!”
Giudice recently returned home after her prison stint for fraud, and her husband was just sent off to fulfill his own end of the sentence.
For her part, Giudice appeared to handle the outburst well, so it isn’t clear what made Catania angry.
Either way, Catania is clearly unafraid to speak her own mind even when it comes to her friends. If Catania keeps this up, then she’ll definitely bring plenty of drama this season. She might even be asked to return for Season 8.Fans can watch Catania when new episodes of the RHONJ air Sunday nights on Bravo.
