‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6: Titles For Episodes 1 And 2 Released – What Do They Mean For Storybrooke?
Warning: Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers are ahead.
Once Upon A Time Season 6 is gearing up for filming and fans are anxiously waiting for updates. Little pieces of information have been leaked by OUAT co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. However, viewers should be excited by the latest spoilers. The titles for Episodes 1 and 2 have been released, but what do they mean for Storybrooke?
On Twitter, Once Upon A Time co-creator Adam Horowitz released the titles of Season 6, Episodes 1 and 2. It was previously announced that the season premiere of OUAT was called “The Savior.” In previous seasons, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) was considered to be the savior. However, with what happened in Season 5, will that change things? Is Storybrooke getting ready for a new savior? Is it possible that Regina or one of the new characters from The Land Of Untold Stories might fill that role?

As for the title of Once Upon A Time Season 6, Episode 2, it was revealed by Carter Matt that it is named “A Bitter Draught.” What exactly does this mean? The website explained that the word “draught” is from the Middle Ages and these days, it often used to mean “draft.” This could imply several things, but nothing really makes sense so far. Carter Matt speculated that “draught” had to do with air, but it could also refer to other elements. Perhaps it is meant to illustrate opposing forces, like with Regina and The Evil Queen being separated and complete opposites.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the poster for Season 6 was released. It indicates that the focus will be on The Evil Queen. Last season, Regina Mills tried to get rid of her alter ego. However, her attempt failed, and the negative entity somehow survived the separation. This means that instead of an alter ego, Regina and The Evil Queen are now two separate individuals. This is a serious problem, but not just for the reason viewers think.
Regina and The Evil Queen being separated in Once Upon A Time means that one is completely negative and the other has all the positive traits. At least, this is the best theory that fans have come up with so far. If this turns out to be accurate, will the separation change who Regina is? Will it affect her ability to fight The Evil Queen?
Previously, Entertainment Weekly reported that Regina Mills will be completely pulled apart from the inside. The website also teased to expect similar things with the other characters in Once Upon A Time. As for the questions in Season 6, OUAT executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis gave some hints. What exactly happens when an individual removes a part of themselves? Is it even possible, and if so, should it even be done?
It certainly sounds like the co-creators were teasing that Regina’s actions will have consequences. Could those extend beyond The Evil Queen being released? Maybe the separation will affect Regina’s personality in ways she could never have predicted. As for Storybrooke, The Evil Queen is going to be busy causing chaos and destruction to everyone and everything. That is unless she can be stopped before it is too late.
In a video interview with Melty, actress Lana Parrilla spoke about Once Upon A Time Season 6. She said it has been fun playing different sides to Regina. When OUAT first began airing, she wasn’t a nice or kind person. Some even considered her a bit of a villain. However, in recent seasons, Regina’s past has been explored and fans finally understand what made her so guarded. One of the most tragic moments for Regina was when Robin died. Parrilla explained that she feels sad for her character. After finding the love of her life after so many years, she ended up losing him.
Lana also spoke about Regina’s choice to separate herself from The Evil Queen. The actress explained that it was one of the most difficult decisions the character had to make. Parrilla called the choice courageous and challenging. However, the actress also believes that it is an incredible way to bring back The Evil Queen.
What do you think is going to happen in Once Upon A Time Season 6? What do the titles of Episodes 1 and 2 mean for the Storybrooke residents?
