‘Teen Mom’ Kailyn Lowry Sets The Record Straight About All Those Lesbian Rumors

Kailyn Lowry is tired of all the girlfriend rumors.

Ever since her divorce from Javi Marroquin, the Teen Mom star has faced multiple reports of a secret romance with girlfriend Becky Hayter. Thankfully, Lowry has officially set the record straight.

The Stir is reporting that Lowry has broken her silence about her relationship with Hayter, and it appears as though nothing romantic happened between the women.

“Becky and I are just friends. That’s it… We are not in a romantic relationship at all,” Lowry shared. “In fact, Becky is talking to someone else she’s interested in. Again, Becky is just a friend of mine. There’s nothing more to it.”

Fans first suspected a romance between Lowry and Hayter after photos of them kissing each other surfaced online. According to Us Magazine, Lowry even shared a photo of her and Hayter on Instagram with the caption: “Girlfriend status.”

The social media activity led to speculation that Lowry had started a romance with Hayter. The timing of their relationship was also brought under question as Lowry had only recently announced her split with Marroquin.

However, it now appears as though nothing romantic happened between Lowry and Hayter, despite the photos.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, Lowry’s revelations follow the start of production for Season 8 of Teen Mom 2.

Lowry posted several photos of the camera crew on social media, hinting that she is once again living her life in front of the cameras. Of course, Kailyn Lowry’s life is drastically different this time around.

Although she announced her divorce from Marroquin at the end of last season, the estranged couple is planning on working things out. Even still, Lowry and Marroquin are still not living together, and the upcoming season will mark the first that will feature Lowry co-parenting with Marroquin.

Although the pair has faced a lot of difficulties over the past year, they are trying to salvage their marriage for the sake of their kids.

“We’re trying to do the best we can for our kids because they are what really matters,” Lowry explained to the Daily Mail.

Lowry and Marroquin had one child during their marriage, 2-year-old Lincoln. Lowry has another child, 6-year-old Isaac, with Jo Rivera, with whom Marroquin has developed a strong relationship.

Lowry’s marriage with Marroquin started to fall apart during the last season of Teen Mom 2. During the reunion episode, an emotional Lowry explained why she feels as though their relationship is doomed.

“As of right now, no, [I don’t want to be in this marriage],” she said. “I don’t feel like we’re on the same page. I don’t think we have the same goals and views… He’s saying it too late. You wanna change when it’s too late.”

The biggest problem between the reality stars is Marroquin’s desire to have more children. Apparently, Lowry is done having kids – especially after her recent miscarriage – and wants to focus more on her career than expanding her family.

Despite their issues, Marroquin still wants to make things right with Lowry.

“She knows I want my family together more than anything in this world,” he stated. “I wake up every two hours hoping I have a text from her – she knows that.”

For Marroquin, the news that Lowry is not romantically involved with Hayter is good. Whether or not Lowry is still open to reconciling things with Marroquin, however, is another matter.

Fans can watch the drama unfold and find out what becomes of Kailyn Lowry’s marriage when Teen Mom 2 returns for Season 8. An official premiere date has not been set, but fans can expect the new season to air sometime next year.
