Britney Spears’ Team Ban Alcohol Backstage At The X Factor

Britney Spears’ team have banned alcohol backstage at The X Factor and have asked that the star not be sent any as a gift. US Magazine reports how the singer’s representatives wrote in a note to show producers:

‘Very important. We require you to empty minibars of all alcohol. And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please.’

Alcohol isn’t the only thing banned either. A source told the Daily Mail that ‘pretty or stylish’ women should also be kept away from the new X Factor judge:

“Britney has stipulated that none of the backstage staff working with her are too pretty or stylish.”

We assume Britney’s drink ban has been implemented with her breakdown of a few years ago in mind. Since then, Spears has spent time in rehab working on her issues with drugs and alcohol. Now that she’s clean again, it seems she is determined to stay on the wagon.

Britney made her primetime X Factor debut on Wednesday and said she is already enjoying the show in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Spears told the 54-year-old host:

“I was really nervous. You have all these people behind you and you know they’re rooting on you. It’s a really exciting, electrifying thing to do.”

Maybe a little too electrifying, though. Fellow judge Simon Cowell commented earlier this week how he felt Spears’ judging style was “mean.” Speaking about his new recruitment’s judging style, Cowell remarked:

“I’ve never heard someone say no to contestants so quickly in my entire life.”

Britney joined the show alongside Demi Lovato after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were sacked after one season.
