Ben Affleck Leaves Jennifer Garner: Is The Divorce Back On?
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may have had a change of heart as they went their separate ways last week. The 43-year-old actor left his wife with their three children in Los Angeles as he flew to Europe to continue shooting his upcoming film Justice League.
The Hollywood heartthrob looked sad when he arrived in London, while the 44-year-old actress tried her best in single parenting their kids in Venice, California. RadarOnline shared photos of the former couple in separate locations, and both looked quite stressed out. The former Alias star was spotted pulling her youngest son, Sam, in a buggy while Seraphina rode her bike in front of her.
Now that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are apart from each other, could this mean that the divorce is back on? The Inquisitr previously reported that the two looked happy as they spent Fourth of July together with their children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. They appeared to have reconciled, but an eyewitness revealed that there’s no spark between them.
“[Ben] and [Jennifer] were sitting together watching the parade. They were not being affectionate,” an insider told People. “Ben and Violet were holding hands, and he was smiling watching the parade and walking around the community.”
Maybe the two are just putting up a united front for the sake of their kids. Despite the absence of the Argo director, his mother, Christine Anne Boldt, was present to assist her daughter-in-law. Last Sunday, the Miracles From Heaven actress and two of her children were joined by the actor’s mom for church on Pacific Palisades.
According to the Daily Mail, Chris assisted Samuel out of the car as Jen wait for Violet to get out as well. The actor’s mother looked delighted to spend quality time with her grandchildren. It’s been over a year since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their split, but until now, neither of them has officially filed for a divorce.
There were reports that the two broke up because of the actor’s affair with their former nanny, Christine Ouzounian. However, the mother of three denied that she was the reason for their failed marriage, but the cheating scandal somewhat affected their relationship.
“We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation,” Garner told Vanity Fair.
“Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives,” she added. “I have had to have conversations about the meaning of ‘scandal’ [with her children].”
Despite Affleck’s cheating scandal, Jen still allowed her estranged husband to be part of their lives. The two remain living on the same property and co-parenting their three children, which started rumors that they are getting back together for good. However, Garner hinted that she doesn’t need her husband at the moment and prefers focusing on her kids.
“It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy,” she insisted. “The main thing is these kids — and we’re completely in line with what we hope for them. Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”
According to People, Ben Affleck wants Jennifer Garner back, so maybe that’s why he is doing everything to be a good father to their three children. Unfortunately, an insider revealed that the actress is not ready to take him back. But the actor is reportedly constantly working on himself to become a better person.
