Is baseball great Derek Jeter married? According to People, the answer is yes! The celebrity news and human interest magazine reports that Derek Jeter, 42, married his girlfriend of almost four years, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hannah Davis, 26, on Saturday in what was described as an “intimate ceremony” at Meadowood Napa Valley Resort in St. Helena, California.

Derek Jeter revealed that he was engaged to be married in the autumn of 2015, when People reported that Jeter casually referred to Hannah Davis as his “fiancée” in a blog post on his personal website. He didn’t spell out the news that he was getting married, but instead wrote a blog post enthusing about his dog, Kane, and stated that the Italian Mastiff was a holiday gift from Davis, his then-fiancée. He made no other mention of their changed status as a couple in the blog post.

“I had no idea what I was in for as a new dog owner. He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancée, whose family had Mastiffs growing up. I’ve never owned a pet in my life.”

Hannah Davis began wearing a gorgeous round-cut diamond engagement ring in a platinum french-set band following the publication of her fiancé’s revealing blog post. Mark Keeney, vice president of marketing at online jeweler Ritani, spoke to Hollywood Life in November about the stats: he estimated the stone to be at least three carats, and the ring’s cost to be around $300,000. Davis held her bachelorette party in Miami in early June.

Derek Jeter’s impending marriage sparked many media rumors well into the spring of 2016, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. In May, the New York Daily News suggested that Jeter and Davis were to be married in Napa Valley in July, which turned out to be extremely accurate. The only part of the rumor that missed the mark was the exact date; the wedding was at the time rumored to be planned for the Fourth of July long weekend, with the ceremony held on Saturday, July 2. Jeter and Davis in fact married exactly one week later, on July 9.
