Hayden Panettiere Alludes To Divorce Rumors On Twitter

Hayden Panettiere has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation lately, between opening up about her struggles with postpartum depression and being seen out recently without her wedding ring. The Nashville actress made it a point to address the rumors on Twitter by sharing a photo of herself with her husband and adorable daughter, and the caption says it all.

“Missing rings don’t mean the end of relationships. Blessed to be with my beautiful family,” Hayden wrote.

The post comes just a few days after she was spotted taking a smoke break and reading a book about Sammy “The Bull” Gravano — whose daughter Karen starred on Mob Wiveswithout her engagement ring.

Panettiere was praised for her decision to be open about her struggle with postpartum depression; the actress told Yahoo that she battled awful feelings that left her with the need to defend herself to those who didn’t think it was a “real” disorder.

“If you think for one second that a mother wants to feel that way toward her child, you’re outta your mind. It is one of the most debilitating, scary, guilty feelings that you can ever feel. That a mother would not be able to connect with their child, would not be able to get a grip, or would not know what’s going on, for anybody to say that it’s false or created by us, you must have your head examined,” Hayden said.

Hayden took some time away from social media for a while, but has started to post more and more during her journey to wellness. The actress got personal on Twitter in May, sharing with her fans that she is trying hard to overcome the disorder because it affects every aspect of her life. It was around that time that she reportedly entered rehab in order to cope with what she was dealing with.

“Last week, Hayden Panettiere, star of ABC’s now-canceled drama Nashville, announced she was re-entering rehab to treat postpartum depression after initial treatment in October. Panettiere, who has spoken publicly about living with the condition, said she needed to treat her illness ‘holistically,’ rather than rely on ‘unhealthy coping mechanisms,'” Vice reported.

Hayden opened up during an interview on Live! with Kelly and Michael last year when she was talking about her character on Nashville, who went through something similar after she had her baby. The actress said that she wants to talk about her own struggle because she wants other women to know that they’re not alone.

“It’s something a lot of women experience. When you’re told about postpartum depression you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child’ — I’ve never, ever had those feelings. Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal,” Hayden said. “There’s a lot of misunderstanding — there’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true, that it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They brush it off. It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support. Women are amazing. We do something that no man can do on this planet. I mean, we grow a human being in our body!”
