Avril Lavigne Brings Abbey Dawn, Partially Shaved Head, To Fashion Week
Avril Lavigne revealed the latest designs for her skater punk fashion label Abbey Dawn at Fashion Week in New York, but that wasn’t the only reason people were talking about the recently engaged singer. Lavigne showed up at the fashion show with a partially shaved head and pink and green hair.
Lavigne said:
“Tonight I got a little wild with my hair dye in my hotel room … I’ve always dyed my hair and had fun with pinks and greens, but this evening I was celebrating Fashion Week, here in New York, and the fact that I’m having a runway show, which is a major deal for me and means a lot. I just got dye happy and dyed my whole hair blond and then went crazy with these colors and studs. I actually had pink fingers, but I spent so long washing them.”
But Lavigne, of course, wasn’t the only one to debut a new punk look at the NYFS. All of the Abbey Dawn models walked the runway in punk-rock inspired clothes including the youngest Kardashian sister, Kylie Jenner.

Lavigne made headlines earlier this month when she announced that she got engaged to Chad Kroeger from Nickelback. Lavigne said that she hasn’t done too much planning for the wedding but that she is really excited about the wedding dress.
“I’ve been thinking about it; I haven’t come to a decision on themes yet, but I’m really excited to start planning and even more excited about the wedding dress … I have a lot of ideas and I’m trying to figure out which direction to go.”
