‘Deadpool 2’ Cast Rumors: Blake Lively As Ryan Reynold’s Love And Stephen Lang Campaigns For Marvel’s Cable
The rumor mills are spinning at full speed over the news that Blake Lively could be joining her husband Ryan Reynolds on the cast of Deadpool 2 as his love interest. That speculation is growing stronger after a comment she made about not being comfortable with seeing her man in love scenes with other women, according to GameNGuide. Being cast as his love interest in the Deadpool sequel would certainly take care of any concerns and embarrassment the pregnant mother might experience as a result of any raunchy love scenes, and who could blame her for wanting to keep an eye on the attractive actor?
Lively revealed on her June 20 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she recently endured the embarrassment of a plane full of people, including their 2-year-old daughter James, viewing Ryan Reynold’s vulgar Deadpool love scene with Morena Baccarin.“Having your husband having mashed potatoes eaten out of his butthole, because that’s in the film, is lovely. It’s a cruel and unusual form of torture.”
At least she understands the way the rest of us feel seeing her blissfully happy with Reynolds, who has producer credits for both films. Their first film together was Green Lantern where Reynolds played Hal Jordan and Lively starred as Carol Ferris in the Warner Bros. movie. The difference is that when Green Lantern came out, Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson and Lively was involved with Badgley Mischka. Fans are eager to see their obvious chemistry and affection for each other on the big screen now that they are married.
As far as the production for Deadpool 2 is concerned, producer Simon Kinberg believes the film will be ready to begin shooting in January 2017. The script is ready but the location has yet to be solidified. Kinberg, who also produced the first film, has also produced three of the X-Men movies: X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: Apocalypse, and the latest Fantastic Four.

Deadpool fans are eagerly awaiting the news of who will be cast as Wade Wilson’s sidekick Cable. A scene shown during the end credits of Deadpool suggests that the time travelling hulk will be in Deadpool 2 and director Tim Miller believes that there will be trouble if there isn’t a Cable appearance, reports Comic Book.
“If we don’t put Cable in Deadpool 2 I think we’ll be run out of town.”
Cinema Blend reports that Stephen Lang is an obvious choice and Lang agrees, launching his own campaign on social media for the role. Lang certainly looks the part — his overall aesthetic and body of work, in particular his Avatar stint as Colonel Miles Quaritch, make him a no brainer.

Other contenders are Ron Perlman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Wrestler Kevin Nash, Mel Gibson, Jon Hamm, and Dolph Lundgren. Cable, or Nathan Summers, is Jean Grey (Phoenix) and Scott Summer’s (Cyclops) child from the future, and because Ethan Hawke bears a slight resemblance to James Marsden, his name was surprisingly thrown into the mix.
