Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner’s Divorce On Hold? Couple Looks Happy In New Photos

It’s been a year since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their divorce. However, neither one of them has officially filed for a divorce. Maybe they are giving their marriage a second chance because they have been spending more time together.

In fact, the former Daredevil co-stars celebrated Fourth of July together with their three children, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4. RadarOnline shared new photos of the couple and they both looked very happy. The 43-year-old actor and the 44-year-old actress showed no signs of trouble in their marriage. Based on the photos, the two seem to have reconciled, but an eyewitness thinks that there’s no spark between them.

“[Ben] and [Jennifer] were sitting together watching the parade. They were not being affectionate,” an onlooker told People. “Ben and Violet were holding hands, and he was smiling watching the parade and walking around the community.”

Despite the painful breakup, Affleck and Garner remained amicable throughout the year. They have been living up to their vow of co-parenting their kids. A friend of the actress revealed that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star doesn’t want to get a divorce, and she isn’t in a rush as well.

“Jen doesn’t seem to mind at all that the divorce is not finalized,” an insider told People, “but she seems adamant about going through with it.”

Her pal also revealed that the husband and wife have a lot of respect and admiration for each other. In fact, they continue to live at their family home in Los Angeles. The Alias star and their children even joined the actor in Europe when he shot his latest film, Justice League.

“Nothing has changed in the relationship,” their source said. “They’re still all about putting the kids first.”

Ben Affleck seems to be doing everything he can to get his wife back. But would his effort be enough for her to call off their divorce? During an interview with RadarOnline, the actress’ dad, Bill Garner, revealed the reason why the actor couldn’t let go of his daughter.

He confessed that he and his wife, Patricia, are really proud of Jen and how she handled the breakup and slow reconciliation. However, he tried not to reveal too much information on the status of the couple’s relationship.

“I would prefer not to comment on her plans,” Bill said. “Any news will come from her and not from us.”

The brunette beauty’s dad also talked about the rare qualities that Jen and her sisters, Melissa and Susannah, have, which probably could be the reason why Ben is still around despite the cheating scandal. The three girls were raised with the work ethic and common-sense values that can be rare in Hollywood.

“They do well, and we think that their heads are screwed on pretty well,” Bill said.

The proud dad also revealed that he and his wife always support their daughters in all their decisions, which means that they will accept Affleck again if Garner decides to call off their divorce. The Hollywood A-listers continue to keep their fans guessing if they are planning to get back together for good or will still proceed with their divorce.

However, there were signs that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reconciled. Aside from the family photos, the Hollywood hunk still calls the mother of her children his wife instead of her first name. During an interview with Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons, the director revealed how Jen helped him recover from his split up with Jennifer Lopez and focus on his career.

“My wife was really instrumental and helpful in me doing a lot of that work because I was just so focused [on it] and it was harder to balance family and all that,” Affleck said.
