Russell Wilson And Ciara Prepare For Wedding Amid Reported Threats On Wilson’s Life
Russell Wilson and his fiancee Ciara are getting ready for an English wedding according to several news outlets. Wilson and Ciara were reportedly captured by TMZ photographers in formal attire on their way to a pre-wedding dinner. The couple is expected to tie the knot within the next few days.
According to E!, Wilson and his future bride held the rehearsal dinner for their wedding at Stanley’s Bar and Grill in Liverpool. Russell was decked out in an all black suit while Ciara sported a formal white halter gown.
Happy news of Wilson’s impending marriage emerged the same day as court records were released regarding Russell’s life being threatened by Ciara’s baby daddy, rap star Future. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Wilson’s fiancee filed documents with the court stating that a Tweet by Future showing guns with footballs as well as some of Future’s lyrics were her former lover’s way of hinting that Russell’s life was in danger.
This accusation against Future just adds fuel to the flames of the ongoing custody battle with Ciara over their 2-year-old son Future Jr. Russell Wilson is apparently shaking off the threats or stress of the custody battle, already embracing the role of step-dad for the boy with news reports last spring showing Wilson on the go with his future wife and her baby.
In fact in May, Wilson tweeted out his appreciation for the future Mrs. Wilson and her son.

Wilson and Ciara announced their engagement in March after nearly two years of dating. Besides her ongoing custody battle, the most other notable thing about the couple is Wilson’s pledge that the two would remain abstinent until marriage.
According to CBS Sports, Russell was speaking before the congregation of The Rock Church when Wilson made his proclamation of the couple’s abstinence.
This will be the second marriage for Russell Wilson. Wilson and his first wife, Ashton Meem, met in high school and were married from 2012 to 2014. While rumors circulated that Meem had had an affair with Wilson’s Seahawks teammate, Golden Tate, Tate publicly denied those allegations and Wilson refused to speak to the media about the divorce.
Wilson’s divorce appeared to have little impact on his athletic ability as Russell guided the Seahawks to a Super Bowl Championship the same year. Unfortunately, a bad play call and a rare Russell Wilson interception resulted in the Patriots taking home the rings that year.
Though the Seahawks struggled initially in the 2015 season, they ended with a record of 10 and six with another playoff appearance. Wilson and his teammates would get eliminated by the Carolina Panthers in the playoffs, however.
Undoubtedly, Seattle Seahawks fans are hoping that if Wilson and Ciara tie the knot later this week, Russell can finally find his focus to have a successful 2016 season. Considering the lack of depth in the back up quarterback position for the team, fans will be counting on Wilson to be happy and healthy both mentally and physically. Though rumors have been speculating that the Seahawks are considering veteran quarterback Michael Vick as Wilson’s back up, those who know football know that Vick is more injury prone than the quarterbacks he steps in for.
While the stress of a custody battle and the pressure to bring another Super Bowl Championship to Seattle rest on Russell Wilson’s shoulders, today it seems the quarterback is just counting his blessings:
