‘Gossip Girl’ Spoilers, The Final Season Premieres On October 8 [Video]
Gossip Girl spoilers abound and may help satisfy faithful viewers impatiently waiting for the hit series to begin its final season in October. Diehard fans were left on the edge of their seats waiting for Blair (Leighton Meester) to finally make her decision between Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Dan (Penn Badgley) during the Season 5 cliffhanger. Although the beautiful and intelligent brunette once again wandered back into Chuck’s arms, Wet Paint claims there is still plenty of drama about to unfold in the young couple’s lives.
The eternally star-crossed parental couple of Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) parted ways a long time ago. Fans eager to see a romantic reunion are likely to be disappointed. Rufus may no longer be married to the uptown girl, but that does not mean he will be forced to sleep alone during the Gossip Girl final season.
TV Line’s Michael Ausiello has this to say about the possibility of a Rufus and Lily reconnect:
“Considering who Rufus schtups in the premiere, I hold out little hope for a reunion. Granted, Lily is now with Bart, but still.”
Wet Paint insight points to a possible hook-up between Ivy Dickens (Kaylee DeFer) and Rufus. As if Lily did not already have enough reason to hate the poser who tried to get her hands on a portion of the family fortune, she could now have to watch herself be replaced by a much younger blonde.
A minute-long Gossip Girl trailer shows Chuck and Blair in a very steamy sex scene. The video also includes a teaser about a wedding, possibly Serena’s, TV Fanatic reports. Expect Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) to showcase her scheming skills and threaten to expose everyone’s secrets. Serena (Blake Lively) will once again be sporting extremely low-cut clothing, and Dan will get slapped, at least twice, during the final episodes of the hit young adult series.
