Arrow Season 5 is still months away, but the information for its fall, 2016, premiere is coming out in droves over the break. Stephen Amell generally tends to be the source for most of the Arrow information, so it comes as no surprise that he was the one to announce that an outside rivalry has spawned a new character for The CW show. Comicbook reports that Stephen Amell’s WWE rival will be coming to Arrow this fall. Amell made this announcement at a panel with Rhodes at the Heroes & Villains Fanfest in New Jersey.
“Before we get going, we have an announcement. We have a new guest star on Arrow this year: Mr. Cody Rhodes. I’m so fired up for this guy; he and I haven’t really had much of a chance to talk about it but we’ve been friends for a little over a year now. I know that Cody has really wanted to get into the acting business. He went to L.A., he read for a part, and his deal closed yesterday and the dude is going to be on Arrow and I’m so fired up.”
Amell stopped short of saying whom Cody Rhodes will be playing in Arrow Season 5, but it seems unlikely that it will be any major DC Comics character.

Arrow Season 5 will not just see new characters arriving in Star City, but also costume modifications for Team Arrow. The Inquisitr has already reported on that fact the Green Arrow’s suit, according to Stephen Amell, will not be the only thing getting another upgrade. John Diggle, who many presumed was off the team after his Season 4 departure, will be getting an upgrade for Season 5. Arrow’s David Ramsey revealed, in a brief statement, the information about his character John Diggle/Spartan’s new gear.
“Season 5, you will see a Cisco-created new mask for Diggle.”
It is unusual that Arrow is still outsourcing for equipment, when you consider that Curtis Holt will be a major character in Season 5, but it is likely due to the openness of overall DCTV Universe that The CW has built and cultivated.
Though Diggle’s character is one of the non-DC Comics characters, he has been generally well-received, but Felicity Smoak has been a mixed bag with “Olicity” being the biggest point of contention. Arrow fans, in part, lambasted Season 4 for being the “Felicity and Friends” show.

So, when they and Team Arrow broke up, those same fans were a little more hopeful for Season 5. If this recent report is to be believed, things are about to get a lot more tense amongst Arrow fan boards. David Ramsey recently told fans that “Olicity” is getting back together.
“We can expect death, mayhem, AND OLIVER AND FELICITY GETTING BACK TOGETHER!”
Some Arrow fans might not be coming back for Season 5, but then again, a lot of people claim they are walking out on something and do not.
John Constantine has gotten a lot of attention with his own NBC show and of course, his crossover with Arrow. With Constantine ‘s crossover with Arrow, much speculation about his own The CW show, and a little hope for a Season 1 DVD, Constantine fans are certainly proof that “Hope springs eternal.” However, there is now something for Constantine fans to be happy about.
Constantine Season 1 is headed to CW Seed. In case any Constantine fan has no idea what that means, it means the show can be freely streamed through this service. Granted, it isn’t a BluRay/DVD release of Season 1, but it is better than nothing. Not to mention, why would The CW guest star Constantine with the same actor, back story, recognition of Season 1 from NBC , and now stream Season 1 through one of their services?
Will Constantine finally make his way to The CW, or is this another case of unintentional misdirection. “Hope springs eternal.”
