‘Real Housewives Of Potomac’ Has Started The Firing, Are There More To Go?

The firing has started on Real Housewives of Potomac, which has started filming its second season, and Katie Rost is the first to get the ax. But will there be more housewives getting fired? While Real Housewives of Potomac has survived to make it to a second season (unlike Dallas, as the whole RHOD got canceled), Katie Rost was reportedly fired after shooting for Season 2 of RHOP had already started. Rost was a mixed bag for fans, as some loved her, and others found her desperate attachment to boyfriend Andrew cringe-worthy. But what about the other ladies, whose full-of-themselves antics and ability to hold their own in an etiquette battle, even at a “crab boil,” seem to have made them scene stealers? Fans will have to wait and see.

According to the Inquisitr, Katie Rost of RHOP, who is best known for being the most desperate of Housewives, went on the reunion show to say that though Andrew finally put a ring on it, after a whole season of watching her beg, she ditched him. It is likely that Katie Rost bought herself some additional time with her attempt at female empowerment, but something must have happened when RHOP started filming to make producers can her for good.

Perez Hilton is wondering why RHOP would fire one of the only two tolerable cast members by canning Katie Rost. Hilton believes that drama queens Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger were incredibly exaggerated, and only Katie Rost and Ashley Darby were actually enjoyable, which makes it sound like Ashley should start worrying about her job.

“So which of the show’s youngest two castmates is moving out of Potomac?”

To which Perez Hilton answered his own question.

“Katie Rost, unfortunately!!!”

The single mother of three, who mostly talked of galas, fundraisers, and finding a father for her children (presumably, they already have one), will be packing her bags, but Hilton thinks that the clock is ticking on at least two more cast members.

“Although, if Katie couldn’t even make it to Season Two… wallpaper wives Charrisse Jackson-Jordan and Robyn Dixon HAVE to be getting the boot too, right??”

RealityTea is saying that Potomac, or at least the Bravo version of Potomac, which is somewhat unfamiliar to those who live in the DC area, is saying buh-bye to Katie Rost, including her “ballgowns and gala invitations.” Katie Rost took to Twitter today, and suggested that Bravo gave her the boot because her life was too boring. This sounds like some serious revisionist history, because though Katie could seriously bring out the cringe in the most stoic viewer, she was never boring, as she chased Andrew (fans never really understood what was so special about Andrew though) around, and could be counted on for having one too many, or maybe dipping into the Nyquil.

But what caused Bravo to fire Katie so suddenly, just when Katie stopped doing the chasing, and the wedding with Andrew was postponed? Whispers from the set say that Andrew refused to sign off on filming RHOP, and without that storyline, the show would rather start fresh with someone else. It seems that getting dumped was embarrassing to Andrew (imagine that), and he wants to work on restoring his personal and professional image after finally getting off probation for drug charges, according to the Inquisitr.

Bustle is calling the firing of Katie Rost from RHOP a real shocker, but hasn’t made full sense of the #deliveredtomorrow hashtag. Did it mean the news would be delivered tomorrow or that Katie Rost was getting the drop on Bravo, who would deliver the news tomorrow? There is no denying that Katie Rost is a beauty, but without the Andrew storyline, she really didn’t have much to contribute to RHOP.

Though it has been said that Ashley Darby was Katie Rost’s only friend on RHOP, Gizelle Bryant took to Twitter to tell Katie that she is missed, at least by Gizelle.

“You are missed!”
