Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Married, Engaged, Or Expecting — What Is True And What Is False?
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have faced plenty of plenty of relationship rumors in the past few months.
From reports about a secret wedding to rumors of Stefani’s pregnancy, it’s hard to tell what is really happening behind the scenes. Thankfully, there are clues that hint what is true and what is false.
Rumors of an engagement have plagued the couple ever since their relationship began.
According to the NY Daily News, the couple is open to the idea of getting married and starting a family together.
“[They] talk openly about their future together,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They say things like, ‘When we get married’ all the time.”
More recently, reports claimed that Shelton and Stefani tied the knot back in March.
According to the Bit Bag, the wedding was a private affair and featured a small list of celebrity guests, including Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, Jessica Alba, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The ceremony supposedly took place on Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma.
The “Misery” singer posted a message on Twitter that many fans interpreted as a clear sign that they had married.
“Hi strawberry moon #honeymoon #rosemoon???? gx #Oklahoma 2016,” she wrote.
Several fans congratulated Stefani following the post.
Stefani clearly tagged honeymoon in the post, though she was referencing the name of the full moon in June. Many call June’s full moon a honeymoon because there are a lot of weddings during that month.
This explanation, unfortunately, has not stopped the rumors of a secret wedding.
Thankfully, Hollywood Take is reporting that Gwen Stefani squashed reports that she and Shelton were thinking about marriage.
During a radio interview, the singer revealed that she is taking things slowly with Shelton and that things are just too busy for them to get married.
“Can you imagine the amount of gossipy, weird stories people make up? To me, it makes me laugh every day. I actually do Google my name just so I can see the next one that’s gonna happen because it’s gotten so out of control,” she stated.
After reading the stories about her romance, Stefani can’t believe that fans believe the rumors.
“The best part about it is it’s hilarious. The worst part about it is that some people actually believe that stuff. Like, that is what’s funny,” she admitted.
So far, neither Stefani nor Shelton have confirmed the reports of their engagement or marriage.
Based on Stefani’s comments and lack of evidence, it appears as though they are still very much in the dating stage.
What about the pregnancy rumors?
Stefani is currently gearing up for her summer tour, which includes 27 different concerts in as many cities. Based on her upcoming schedule, it doesn’t appear as though Stefani is taking any time off to have a baby.
In fact, the Hollywood Gossip is reporting that Stefani wants Shelton to join her on the road.
An insider told the outlet that Stefani is worried about the possibility of Shelton cheating on her. Apparently, she still has trust issues that stem from her ex-husband’s infidelity.
“Gwen is worried about the idea of spending time apart,” the insider shared. “She’s afraid it’s going to blow up their romance… [She] wants to keep an eye on Blake.”
Shelton doesn’t want to tag along with Stefani, which has allegedly created stress on their relationship.
Instead, Stefani’s relationship with Shelton is stronger than ever as she starts her summer tour.
