Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani: Gavin Rossdale Wants To Keep Kids Off Blake’s Oklahoma Ranch
Blake Shelton has been spending a lot of time with Gwen Stefani’s sons lately, and the boys’ father allegedly is not happy about this. However, can Gavin Rossdale force 10-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma, and 2-year-old Apollo to stay away from their mother’s new boyfriend?
According to Hollywood Life, Gavin Rossdale thinks that exploring Blake Shelton’s sprawling Oklahoma property has had a negative effect on his city boy sons. The boys enjoy running around in the woods, fishing, and breathing plenty of fresh air whenever they visit Blake’s home, but Gavin allegedly doesn’t like the idea of his kids getting in touch with nature. As reported by the print edition of InTouch Weekly, Gavin thinks that Blake’s ranch sounds like a horrible place for kids, and he’s hoping that he can keep Gwen Stefani from taking the boys there for future visits.
“[Gavin] doesn’t like the amount of time his boys are spending [at Blake’s],” a source revealed. “Blake’s ranch just sounds dreadful to him. He’s voiced his concern to the family therapist, but he’s also willing to take Gwen to court regarding their custody agreement if she continues to take the boys to Oklahoma on a regular basis.”
Gavin Rossdale reportedly blames Gwen Stefani’s relationship with Blake Shelton on a few “bad habits” that his sons have allegedly picked up, which include “going to bed with no baths, staying up late and eating junk food.”
The InTouch source says that Gavin “wants to have a say about when and where the kids go when he isn’t with them.” However, there’s currently no clause in Gwen and Gavin’s joint custody agreement that bars Gwen from taking the boys wherever she wishes when it’s her turn to spend time with them.
Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo might be sorely disappointed if their father succeeds in his bid to keep them away from Blake Shelton’s place; they really do seem to love it there. Kingston recently celebrated his 10th birthday at Blake’s Oklahoma property, and it looks like he had a blast. As Entertainment Tonight reports, Kingston got to drive a buggy with his mom, go fishing, and catch a gigantic frog. Kingston is even taking style tips from his mom’s new boyfriend; he’s started rocking camouflage clothing similar to what Blake Shelton wears whenever he goes hunting.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Blake Shelton talked about how little he sees of Gwen Stefani’s sons whenever they visit his home.
“When they come out there, I don’t see them much because if they’re at my place in Oklahoma, they’re in the woods,” Shelton said. “I don’t know how to keep control of them.”
Gavin Rossdale may not have to worry about his kids spending as much time at Blake Shelton’s ranch in the near future. As Billboard reports, Gwen Stefani will soon be busy with her This Is What the Truth Feels Like tour, which kicks off on July 12 in Mansfield, Massachusetts. She’ll be joined by “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” collaborator Eve and her three favorite roadies; according to Gwen, her sons are going to accompany her as she travels across America performing her new tunes and her greatest hits.
“I think they’re really looking forward to it,” Gwen told Mix 104.1’s Karson and Kennedy.
Gwen has also said that Blake Shelton may join her at some point during her tour so that they can treat fans to a performance of their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”
“He better!” Gwen responded when the hosts of 103.3 AMP Radio’s “The TJ Show” asked her if Blake is going to make an appearance onstage with her. “I’m so bad at looking at the dates and trying to coordinate, but we have planned in our minds that we’re going to find each other.”
