The millions of Chumlee and Pawn Stars fans worldwide will be happy to know that Chumlee is not only doing well, but every Thursday from now through August 4, fans will have a chance to meet Chum in person and have the opportunity to donate to one of six worthy charities!
Now, not only is the affable star of Pawn Stars back at the World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, but KTNV has reported that he is participating in a series of meet-and-greet events at the Rick Harrison-owned pawn shop that will benefit a variety of worthy charities.
At each meet and greet, Chumlee will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet fans, sign autographs, and even take photos. Odds are there will be plenty of time to get one of Chumlee’s hysterical takes on life. There is no charge for any of this, but donations are accepted to a worthy charitable organization that will change each week.
What is even more exciting for Chumlee superfans will be an extra bonus for those who should make a donation of $100 or more to the weekly charity. The first five generous donors, and one friend each, will be invited to an exclusive private lunch with Chumlee the very next day. As each meet and greet are on Thursdays, the special luncheon will be on Fridays. There is no word if a Chumlee lunch will include chicken wings or one of his favorite green smoothies.
Other members of Pawn Stars team will also be participating in these meet and greets benefiting these special charities.
The first event will be on June 30, benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of Southern Nevada. On July 7, you can meet and greet Chumlee and donate to Noah’s Animal Shelter. The next opportunity is on July 14, which benefits HELP of Southern Nevada. On July 21, all donations will go to the Children’s Heart Foundation. On July 28, Grant A Gift, you can meet Chumlee and donate to this charity that benefits autism research. The last opportunity is on August 4, which will benefit the Shine Family Foundation, a charity benefiting veterans.
These newly scheduled events are the first opportunities that fans of the Pawn Stars favorite can meet the charismatic Chumlee. Chumlee has carefully stayed out of the public eye since his arrest on March 9. It was not until a few weeks before Austin Lee Russell, better known as Chumlee, made the plea deal stemming from an arrest for guns and drugs that he once again began to interact with fans on social media. Since his plea deal, Chumlee has been interacting with fans and holding contests and once again having fun with his legions of fans.
Chumlee’s nightmare began to end on May 23, when the Pawn Stars fave appeared in court with his two attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, and entered into a plea deal. Chumlee officially pleaded guilty on one drug charge and one gun charge. In return, Chumlee had to forfeit all of the evidence collected by the Las Vegas police officers. count of each of the drug and gun charges. He is forfeiting the evidence.
From the date of the plea deal on forward, Chumlee began to serve his three years of probation. It is expected that he will regularly report to a probation officer, and he is required to attend professional counseling with John Pacult, LCSW. There is no word if he will need to be drug tested, as he was charged with possession of drugs, nor has other terms of his plea deal been revealed. For example, he may be required to perform a certain amount of community service. As of now, there is still no word from the History Channel on the status of Chumlee on Pawn Stars .
Whether court appointed or not, Chumlee is a great draw for a good cause.
