Peta Murgatroyd Due Date: ‘DWTS’ Pros Confirm Baby News, Share Details

Peta Murgatroyd has confirmed that she is pregnant and revealed that her due date is in January! She and her husband-to-be, Maks Chmerkovskiy, recently opened up about having a baby, confirming the news for the first time since it was first reported — the day after the Dancing with the Stars finale.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews was blamed for spilling the beans. She reportedly went to congratulate Maks and Peta after finding out the exciting news, but she did so with her mic on. Apparently, everyone within earshot of a speaker heard that Peta was expecting her first child and several news outlets reported such — without confirmation from the parents-to-be.

Many wondered if Peta Murgatroyd was really pregnant after she posted a series of workout videos on Instagram and didn’t have even a hint of a baby bump. However, one of her most recent photos seemed to prove the skeptics wrong.

Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy are ready to talk about their baby news, telling People Magazine all about their excitement.

“I can’t wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person. And they’ll have the best sneaker collection,” said Maks.

“I’m looking forward to nurturing something and just having the baby be the center of our world. I’m looking forward to putting all our energy into this beautiful soul,” said Peta, adding that she was “so sick” during her first trimester — much of which she was dancing with Nyle DiMarco on Dancing with the Stars.

The couple doesn’t know if they are having a boy or a girl, but old wives’ tales would predict a girl based on Peta’s first-trimester sickness.

Peta Murgatroyd’s due date is about six months before she and Maks’ planned wedding date, which she says is “perfect timing.” Although she and Maks didn’t want to have a family before they got married, they are embracing every moment.

“The baby will make a wonderful addition to the wedding party. A wonderful, tiny addition,” said Maks.

Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy became engaged in December. Maks got down on one knee in Miami in front of the couple’s friends, surprising Peta with a sweet proposal. Although the couple has said that they couldn’t wait to start a family, no one expected them to get pregnant so quickly!

When Peta conceived, she was competing on Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with front-runner Nyle DiMarco, and she was able to choreograph and teach splendid routines that Nyle executed beautifully. The duo’s hard work eventually led to a Mirror Ball win, something that Peta will never forget.

Out of nine seasons, Peta has won the Mirror Ball twice. She won in Season 14 with Donald Driver and in Season 22 with Nyle DiMarco. It is presumed that she will be sitting out Season 23 as she will be about six months pregnant when the dancers come back together in the fall. Although she may likely return to the show after her baby is born, Peta definitely went out on a high note — and so did Maks. He won the Mirror Ball Trophy with Meryl Davis in Season 18 and then left the show, only coming back to guest judge here and there.
