James Franco Making A Movie About Two Hollywood Celebrities, But Says Not About Him And Lindsay Lohan
James Franco put out an odd casting notice last month calling for “Lindsay Lohan types” for a movie about two celebrities, but now is clarifying that the movie isn’t about her at all.
It’s not about him, either.
Franco put out a casting notice on the online acting job board Actors Access that called not only for an actress who can pass for Lindsay Lohan, but another to fill “James Franco Types ages 13, 21, 30, 45, and 60,” E! News reported.
Though the casting notice got fans wondering just what kind of movie he could be making, with some thinking it could either be a movie about the two of them or even a Lindsay Lohan biopic, James Franco spoke out at the Toronto Film Festival to set the record straight.
“That’s something I really didn’t publicize,” the 34-year-old James Franco said at the premiere of his new indie movie, Spring Breakers. “We just put out a casting call for a Lindsay Lohan and James Franco type. People just saw the casting call and picked that up and made up a lot of stories about it.”
When reporters asked just what the movie could be about, James Franco was coy, E! News noted.
“It’s really a project that’s really under the radar for now,” he said.
Whatever the James Franco/Lindsay Lohan parts are, Franco himself is pretty busy with other projects. Reuters reported that he’ll be getting a nationwide release for Spring Breakers, a movie that follows four young women as they go wild during their spring break.
After the screening of Spring Breakers, James Franco also headed back to the United States to direct a movie adaptation of William Faulkner’s 1930 novel, As I Lay Dying.
