‘RHOC’ Star Vicki Gunvalson Hits It Off With Kelly Meza-Dodd, But Can Her Friendship With Shannon Beador Be Saved?
Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Meza-Dodd are hitting if off on the new season of Real Housewives of Orange County.
Gunvalson needs all the friends she can get after last season’s cancer controversy, but will she be able to save her friendship with Shannon Beador?
Gunvalson’s involvement in Brooks Ayers’ cancer scandal stirred a lot of drama with her co-stars. According to Radar Online, many of the women on RHOC had a hard time forgiving Gunvalson after last season.
“They feel betrayed and don’t know what they can trust,” an inside source told the outlet.
Despite the bad feelings, Gunvalson and Dodd have really bonded. However, that doesn’t mean Gunvalson is avoiding drama this season.
“Vicki and Kelly cause some serious havoc,” the insider added. “The two women together are relentless and they’re constantly stirring the pot with the other housewives, telling stories about them.”
Gunvalson’s friendship with Dodd makes sense. After all, Dodd has already proven that she’s unafraid to speak her mind.
According to Reality Tea, Dodd discussed her initial impressions in her latest Bravo blog. As far as her friendships are concerned, Dodd admitted that she has good chemistry with some of the ladies.
“It didn’t take long for me to sense the chemistry I have with each of the ladies. My brash mouth and sarcastic, sophomoric humor isn’t for everyone,” she wrote. “Tamra, Vicki, and Meghan laughed at my ‘Kellyisms’. Shannon not so much. Actually, not at all. Oh well. Hopefully, she’ll lighten up.”
Vicki Gunvalson made a big impact on Dodd during their first encounter. While the other cast members were noticeably tense around Gunvalson, Dodd thought she handled the situation well.
“When Vicki entered the party, the tension was palpable,” Dodd stated. “It didn’t seem to upset Vicki too much, though. She handled herself with grace and dignity … She is sweet, considerate and funny.”
While Gunvalson and Dodd are becoming best friends, Beador’s relationship with Gunvalson is quickly going downhill. In fact, Star Pulse is reporting that Beador hasn’t forgiven her former friend for everything that went down last season.
Apparently, Beador hasn’t even talked to Gunvalson since Ayers cancer scam and is still waiting for an apology.
“I haven’t had one conversation with Vicki in over eight months. She has no idea what is going on in my life and how well everything is going,” Beador explained. “I think she is trying to deflect once again and put her own emotions onto someone else. I am not hateful because I do not want a friendship with Vicki anymore; I am smart.”
Beador has been busy since last season of RHOC. Reality Tea reports that Beador spent the majority of her off time travelling with family and hanging out with Tamra Judge.
Ever since Beador ended her friendship with Gunvalson, her life has been great. By the sounds of it, Beador isn’t going to mend her friendship with Gunvalson anytime soon.
“After the reunion last year, I made the decision to end any friendship I had with Vicki. I was used and I was lied to… I don’t think that there are many worse things than involvement with fabricating cancer, an illness that has touched so many people in one way or another. I don’t want to rehash or dwell on the things that happened last year. I have made up my mind and I am not going to change it.”
For Gunvalson, Dodd might prove an important friend this season. The only question is how long their friendship will last once the drama ramps up.
New episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County air Monday nights on Bravo.
