Rita Ora is a busy lady these days. Not only is she currently filming Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed , but she’s also working on a new album. It’s been four years since her debut album, Ora , dropped and peaked at No. 1 in the UK.
Since then, Rita Ora has fought hard to get out of her contract with Jay Z’s label, Roc Nation, arguing that her music career has been put on the back burner since the launch of Tidal and their other side projects. Now that Ora is signed to a new label, she’s set to make a big comeback in the music scene. She wants to work on a “psychedelic” new sound for her highly anticipated album.

Rita Ora wants to work with Tame Impala, according to new reports. She was seeking musical inspiration this past weekend in Glastonbury where she was spotted with her good friend, Ellie Goulding . Rita was also seen in deep conversation with Australian group’s Jay Watson and Kevin Parker about her fresh new sound, an insider told the Daily Star .
“She loves Tame Impala and wants a bit of their psychedelic sound for herself. She wants to turn over a new leaf and for her that means a new sound.”
The Australian rock band, Tame Impala, was the opener for headlining act Adele on Saturday night, June 25. Ironically enough, Rita Ora’s musical and visual doppelganger Rihanna covered their song, “Same Ol’ Mistakes,” on her new album, ANTI , which dropped in January 2015.
The 26-year-old singer recently struck a deal with Atlantic Records following her lawsuit against Roc Nation. She announced her new record deal with Atlantic just a week ago on Monday, June 20. She said that she was looking forward to finally working on new music with the label. Though Ora is currently filming at the moment, she says that she wants to make more time for music in her busy and full life.
“Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released. I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”
Rita has also been making headlines with Justin Bieber. The rumored couple was spotted at a restaurant and nightclub together in West Hollywood. Now, rumors are swirling that Rita and Justin are making music together — but now the two artists have been faced with their share of dating rumors .
Bieber was first linked with Ora back in 2014, shortly after her split from DJ Calvin Harris. Since then, the young pair was spotted having dinner at Kitchen 24 and later leaving Warwick nightclub together.
“Justin is mixing business with pleasure hanging with Rita. They have been working on a secret collaboration for a while and sparks have been flying. Rita is open-minded and not looking for a commitment from Justin or anything like that. Justin is always down for a good time with Rita too. They enjoy spending time together. Making good music is just a bonus.”
However, an additional source told People that the two looked “super friendly” and not at all “romantic” during their time together.
Even Gossip Cop has since denied the rumors about a possible Rita Ora and Justin Bieber collaboration. An insider close to Bieber’s team told the outlet that they are not dating, and they are definitely not making music together.

On Thursday, June 23, Ora was spotted heading to the recording studio in a wrinkly and haphazard outfit. She was photographed wearing a baby blue Versace long-sleeve T-shirt with a matching head scarf and oversize white shorts. Ora paired her bizarre getup with white sunglasses, black leather sandals, and a colorful fur handbag. She was also seen talking on the phone as she tried to inconspicuously enter the studio.
Let us know in the comments section below. What are your thoughts on a new “psychedelic” album from Rita Ora? Do you think Tame Impala is the perfect collaborator?
