The Flash Season 3 is coming, but somehow, fans probably feel very ill-prepared for what lies ahead this fall. The Inquisitr has been reporting on a lot of new details on The Flash ‘s big brother show Arrow, and a lot of the new characters that are coming in Season 5. The Flashpoint Paradox is going to change a lot for The Flash Season 3, and one of those things is that Barry Allen will likely not be a Speedster anymore, so someone will need to pick up the slack. According to Comicbook, two new Speedsters could be coming to The Flash Season 3, but Jesse Quick actress Violett Beane is skeptical.
“I know I’ll be back, But I don’t know if it’s with or without powers. When Jesse got hit, I was like ‘It’s happening! It’s happening! There was the spark when she got out of the coma, but… it didn’t happen, and I was like, ‘No!’ I’m very excited [to play a speedster], and would love for it to happen early next season.”
Beane is referring to the secondary particle accelerator explosion, where Wally West and Jesse Quick both got hit with the same blast that Barry Allen got hit with twice. The Flash was given his powers from the same blast in Season 1. This led to much speculation that Kid Flash and Jesse Quick, two other DC Comics Speedsters, would eventually make their way onto The Flash. So far, it has not been in a flash.

With the Flashpoint Paradox in the DC Comics, The Flash had no powers, and the whole DC Universe was all mixed up. Since the CW show kind of requires there to be some hero for each of the seasons, it is possible that Wally West and Jesse Quick could be stepping up, but it is just mostly speculative at this point. However, Violett Beane seems to hint that it is altogether possible.
“With the whole Flashpoint, anything can happen, right? It’s literally open to any different kind of false reality. She could be Earth-One Jesse, she could be a speedster…. Who knows!”
The Flash ‘s reckless actions in the Season 2 finale, that will bring about the Flashpoint Paradox, will obviously change the dynamic of Iris West and Barry Allen’s relationship. By the Season 2 finale, they were just about ready to date, and prior to that, Barry had dated or was interested in a few other ladies. GameNGuide reported on a rumor that is based on a reported interview response from Grant Gustin that suggests that The Flash and Supergirl could end up dating in the CW’s own Flashpoint Paradox.

Yibada, however, reported that Iris West actress Candice Patton has stated that Barry and Iris are still meant to be .
“Fans are anxiously waiting to figure out if West/Allen has been erased. I think fans can rest assured, we’ve established on this show, Barry and Iris have a relationship that’s destined. I’ve never needed to see them be together right away. I’ve always been a proponent of letting that stretch out over time, having relationships with other characters…so that when they do get together it’s meaningful.”
The Flash Season 3, Arrow Season 5, Supergirl Season 2, and Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 are reportedly to have a big crossover event, if not a few episode-crossover events. This is what leads some fans to believe in the possibility of a Barry Allen and Kara Danvers relationship, amongst other things aforementioned.
The Flash Season 3 is months away, as are the entire new DCTV Universe coming this fall, so there is a lot that is not known. As always, it is best to wait and see what lies ahead, but considering The Flash Season 2 finale went over quite well, it is unlikely that Season 3 will disappoint.
