Multiple studies show that your eye color reveals certain aspects of your personality. Your soul literally shines right through your eyes.
Science can now back up the saying, “eyes are the window to the soul.” It has been proved that a person’s personality can be revealed based on eye color. Scientists in Sweden at Orebro University, as well as Edinburgh University’s Dr. Anthony Fallone, conducted studies among hundreds of individuals.
The results concluded that personality is linked to the eye’s iris. Genes that make up our frontal lobes are also affected by our eye color. Distinctively, those with the same eye color share similar personalities and behaviors.
Dr. Anthony Fallone comments on his findings.
“The eye is so closely linked neurologically to the brain that you might call it the only part of our brain you can see from the outside. It seems to hold vital clues to our brain function.”
More in depth, the study revealed specific aspects between each color of eyes. Brown eyes are said to be connected with intelligence. trustworthiness, and kindness. Blue eyes are referred to those who are sweet, sexy, and kind. Those with green eyes are known to be devious, sexy, and creative.
Besides the color of the eye, the iris pattern is also said to distinguish a person’s personality. Although no two people have the same iris pattern, as nobody has the same fingerprints, studies show that every person that has blue eyes originated from the same ancestor.
Eye color is not made up of just one gene, but multiple genes, which is why many people have more than one color in their iris.
Now back to personality and eye color. Mats Larsson discusses personality connection with furrows and crypts. What exactly are furrows and crypts ? Larsson explains that furrows are circular lines curving around the outer edge of the iris. Crypts are squiggly lines radiating out from the pupil.
Larsson described a person with a low amount of crypts as being tender-minded, trustworthy, warm, and positive. Extended furrows are associated with impulsiveness.
Studies are still in the early works to truly determine how much a person’s eye color and iris pattern are connected with personality traits. Larsson is still slightly reluctant to say that he can reveal a person’s complete personality just by looking into the eyes.
“Still, looking deep into people’s eyes won’t give you irrefutable insight into their personality. We’ve only looked at group effects. It’s not possible to describe an individual’s personality from our data.”
So far, this is what studies have revealed about eye color and personalities.
Brown Eyes
Brown-eyed individuals are said to be outgoing, practical, serious, and self-sufficient. They enjoy making friends and are very committed. Those with brown eyes are described as kind, devoted, and loyal.
Blue Eyes
Blue-eyed individuals are highly intellectual. They are sentimental, self-sufficient, and generally are happy and bright. Those with blue eyes often hold grudges and can be moody.
Hazel Eyes
Hazel-eyed individuals are adventurous, imaginative, and determined. They enjoy trying new things and are often risk-takers. They are profound thinkers and courageous. They are aware of limitations, sometimes selfish, but responsible.
Green Eyes
Green-eyed individuals are self-sufficient, mysterious, and unpredictable. Those with green eyes are said to have endless patience and can retrain their emotions. They are intelligent, intellectual, and creative. Green-eyed people are known to be the happiest individuals in the world. they are passionate, sensual, and attractive.
Gray Eyes
Gray-eyed individuals are quiet, self-effacing, and thought to be conformists. They are courageous and stubborn.
Studies on eye color and personality will hopefully someday reveal more information on this interesting topic. Wouldn’t it be nice to look into a someone’s eyes and see the person’s soul?
