Solange Knowles Celebrates 30th Birthday With Queen Bey

Solange Knowles took to social media to share special moments from her 30th birthday with her friends and family.

In a recent Instagram post, Solange joked that she was going to “take a note from Paris Hilton and have 4 parties.” Prior to Beyoncé’s European leg of her Formation World Tour, she spent some much-needed time with her little sister. The two singers and their close friends headed to New Mexico for some birthday fun.

Solange even shared some photos and videos of their tropical getaway. The photos show the ladies lounging by the pool and eating at a long table decorated with tropical flowers. She then shared a photo of their delicious and refreshing snack, which was also healthy, too.

“I’m never coming home if you keep making honey peach and hibiscus lime popsicles,” she wrote in the caption.

Solange then shared some photos of her wearing an orange and fuchsia one-shoulder dress with minimal makeup, curly hair, and brown sandals.

Then, the songstress shared a clip of her taking a dip into the pool. In the video, as seen below, she’s wearing a black one-piece swimsuit as she hangs out with her beautiful friends.

Another Instagram photo reveals the entire group dressed up in long, flowing maxi dresses. Solange is smiling brightly as she rests her head on Beyoncé’s shoulder. Meanwhile, the “Lemonade” singer looks a perturbed as she crosses her arms, along with the woman in white next to her.

Solange also made some time to reflect on her life in another Instagram post, marking memorable moments such as meeting her first love and giving birth. She also offered some advice to her younger fans.

“I say all of that to say…don’t eveeer let anyone write your story for you. They can talk, they can doubt, and they can say what they wanna, but only you have the words to narrate this ting we call life. So much gratitude for all of your wishes. So much gratitude for love. So much gratitude for freedom. So much gratitude for life.”

Beyoncé took to her own Instagram to share a moving slideshow of Solange, complete with colorful doodles.

Even though she wasn’t there, their mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, took to Instagram to share a throwback of both of her famous daughters on Solange’s birthday. In the photo below, a then 3-year-old Solange is seen pointing her foot up as she makes a splash in a small collapsible pool with Beyoncé and their friend.

The festivities didn’t stop there. Solange also took to Snapchat to share a clip of her hanging out with her big sister. In the video below, it looks like the two sisters are looking at their reflection in front of a shiny airplane, trying to capture themselves on their phones.

“What about your zoom? Your uncomfortable zoom,” Beyoncé is heard saying in the clip as Solange tries to perfect the shot.

In the meantime, Solange finally finished working on her fourth studio album just 72 hours before celebrating her 30th birthday, which fans hope to look forward to later on this year. Solange’s last release was her True EP back in 2012, according to FUSE TV.

She has also been actively promoting her company, Saint Heron, on social media by dropping a series of projects and events such as an interactive experience during the ESSENCE Festival.

Speaking of which, Tina Knowles-Lawson will make an appearance at this year’s Essence Festival, as she will be honored with her first-ever Inspiring Leadership Award on Sunday, July 3.
