Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Hit The Brakes On Their Relationship, ‘The Voice’ Coaches Finally See Their Differences
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are re-thinking their romance.
The stars have enjoyed seven months of dating but are now questioning their future together. Does Miranda Lambert have anything to do with their relationship woes?
An inside source told Life & Style that Stefani believes her romance with Shelton is developing too fast. Now, she is starting to question why started dating Shelton at all.
“Gwen feels like she may have rushed into things,” the insider revealed. “There’s just so much driving them apart.”
On the hiccups in the relationship is Shelton’s home in Oklahoma.
“Blake’s life is in Oklahoma, not LA,” the source noted. “He misses his home and friends. But Gwen is very much a California girl.”
With three sons to manage, Stefani finds it difficult to travel between locations.
Meanwhile, rumors recently surfaced that Shelton and Stefani had exchanged vows back in March.
According to Hollywood Life, the couple tied the knot during a secret ceremony on Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma.
Blake Shelton allegedly spent over $30,000 on the ceremony and catered food from a local restaurant. Only a handful of guests were invited to the event.
“Neither of them can quite believe that they’re so happy, after everything they’ve gone through over the past year,” the source added.
Although Shelton and Stefani did not confirm the wedding rumors, International Business Times revealed that Lambert reacted well to the news.
“She [Lambert] took the high road and wished them well,” an insider explained. “She’s over him!”
That being said, Gossip Cop is reporting that Lambert did not react to the shocking news of a wedding between Shelton and Stefani. In fact, reps told the outlet that The Voice stars are not currently married.
Apparently, a secret wedding did not take place back in March. Instead, Shelton and Stefani are concentrating on their upcoming tours.
They both recently released new albums and are gearing up for separate summer tours. Stefani is kicking off her This Is What The Truth Feels Like tour, and Shelton has planned a round of concerts this summer for his new music.
After all, it isn’t like the couple can keep their relationship out of the public eye.
In fact, Shelton recently admitted that he couldn’t keep his romance with Stefani quiet even if he tried.
“I found out — because it wasn’t someone from my hometown, it was Gwen Stefani that I was beginning to have this relationship with — there was no hiding it,” Shelton stated. “If I glance her way, it’s the cover of magazines. If I could have kept my personal life private, I would have. Since I can’t, I might as well let people in on the truth.”
Although Shelton has moved on after his divorce with Lambert, he went on to admit that the split was difficult.
“This time last year, there was no light at the end of the tunnel for me, personally,” Shelton noted. “There was a point there where I thought I didn’t even want to exist anymore. I told people I wished I could go into a coma and wake up a year from now.”
Clearly, Lambert’s influence on Shelton was significant. If she reacted in shock to Shelton’s rumored wedding, then she might be the reason behind Shelton’s recent break with Stefani.
