Miley Cyrus Puts Wedding On Hold For Career

If you were waiting for Miley Cyrus to say “I do” to fiance and Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, you shouldn’t hold your breath — at least not for now. The singer/actress has decided to put her wedding on hold to Hemsworth so she can work on her music career.

Cyrus’ last album “Can’t Be Tamed” was released in 2010 and brought a much more mature audience will an edgy, bold, pop sound. Of her fourth studio album that’s yet to be released, Cyrus said at the MTV VMA’s, “I’ve got so much going with this record, this record’s going to, like, kill me.”

Although she’s holding off on the wedding, this new chapter in her life will be a reflection of her new music. “I’ll have a single out this year,” Cyrus said. “This is the first time I get to tell people about it, so I’m really excited.” The enthusiasm Cyrus has for her new album is something she shared with MTV, saying of the unheard material, “It’s all really different. We’ve been working really hard and the record, I’m really proud of the album. It’s my favorite thing I’ve done, probably ever.”

When Miley Cyrus first became engaged many were skeptical of whether or not she would go through with it because of her young age. At 20 years old Cyrus is very excited to start her next chapter with Liam, even though it might be a while, “I’m really excited to get obviously married, but I kind of already feel married. I know we’re forever and I don’t really need a paper right now.”
