Lauri Peterson’s Daughter Speaks Out As Josh Faces Multiple Charges In Attempted Murder

Lauri Peterson has managed to stay out of the spotlight for years since she left The Real Housewives of Orange County. When Lauri was filming the show, she struggled to control her son, Josh, who was doing drugs, partying all night, and breaking all of her rules. Peterson sought treatment for her son, and when Peterson returned to The Real Housewives of Orange County a few years ago, Lauri revealed that things were going better with her son. He had found a partner and had a daughter with her. Lauri had legal custody of his daughter because he was still dealing with some trouble. And now, he’s facing attempted murder charges.

According to a new Instagram post, Lauri Peterson has kept her silence on this matter, but Josh’s sister Ashley broke her silence on Instagram, sharing that they stick together as a family, no matter what.

“In this family we do real. We do mistakes. We do I’m sorry. We do second chances. We do fun. We do hugs. We do forgiveness. We do respect. We do kindness. We do love @Lauri_peterson #RHOC #BravoTV,” Ashley revealed on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with her mother.

It is clear that this event has rocked Lauri Peterson and her family. Josh was arrested after shooting someone at a sober living facility. The person survived the shooting, and Josh is now facing attempted murder charges. Yesterday morning, he appeared in a Costa Mesa Jail courtroom, but he did not enter a plea. One can imagine that Lauri Peterson is helping out her son with some legal advice and a lawyer.

According to Radar Online, Lauri Peterson will have to wait to learn the outcome for her son, as the court date was moved to July 15. And Josh isn’t just facing attempted murder charges anymore. The court has added additional charges, including three counts of personal use of a firearm, and one count of inflicting great bodily injury. Apparently, it was Josh himself who refused to leave his cell this week.

Lauri Peterson’s son was arrested after he shot 35-year-old Daniel Lopez in the upper torso at around 2:30 a.m at a sober living facility in Costa Mesa, California. Neighbors were shocked to hear about the shooting, and Josh was arrested shortly after the shooting. No motive has been provided at this time, but it sounds like he was just fed up with the victim.

“Apparently, there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman revealed of the incident, and it sounds like neighbors are shocked that a shooting took place.

“At about 1:30 a.m. my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing,” a woman who lives in the neighborhood revealed, adding, “He came back in and just said he wasn’t going to deal with this.”

Lauri Peterson and her daughter Ashley continue to post on Instagram and social media, but Lauri hasn’t talked about her son on social media. One can imagine that she’s completely heartbroken over what has happened to her son. It’s no secret that he has struggled over the years, and Peterson actually left The Real Housewives of Orange County because she wanted to help her son and protect him from the public judgment he faced through the show.
