When Does Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell’s New Show Premiere? Former ‘Bachelor’ Begins Filming New Reality Series With His Bride-To-Be

Just three months after Bachelor fans watched Ben Higgins give Lauren Bushnell his final rose, the couple is busy planning their wedding and filming a new reality TV show, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.

When will Ben and Lauren’s new show premiere and will the popular Bachelor couple’s wedding be part of the series? Here are the latest details on the new show that fans can’t wait to watch.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ben and his bride-to-be will continue their love story in the series that will give fans “in-depth look at their blissful pre-wedded life.”

Various Bachelor and Bachelorette stars will also appear on the show that will air on Freeform (formerly ABC Family). Although the network has not released the names of the fan favorites who will stop by to give Ben and Lauren relationship advice, there are rumors that fans may see some of the couples who actually made their relationships work long after their seasons ended including Sean and Catherine Lowe and Trista and Ryan Sutter.

Lauren has been posting feverishly on Snapchat and Instagram since the announcement about the show was made on Wednesday. A quick glance at her social media accounts indicates that filming is well underway with some footage shot at Wrigley Field with Ben’s parents.

According to Freeform, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After is set to premiere in October and that’s perfect timing for fans who can’t get enough of the Bachelor franchise shows.

Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher hands out her final rose on August 1 on ABC, followed by the premiere of the third season of Bachelor in Paradise on August 2. The Paradise finale will air in mid-September, giving fans only a short break before they can switch over to the Freeform network to watch Ben and Lauren’s show. Then it’s back to ABC when the next Bachelor makes his debut in early January 2017.

It’s not clear if Ben and Lauren will get married on the show, but Freeform promises to follow the couple’s life in the real world after the Bachelor, including their pre-wedding planning. Perhaps fans will see a live wedding special on ABC before the 2017 Bachelor premiere in January? Something to think about while fans wait for Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After to begin in October.

Lauren Bushnell moved into Ben Higgins’ Denver home in April, just four months after they taped the Bachelor season finale proposal. Now that they are living together and preparing to show their lives (again) on TV, Ben talked to Us Weekly about their post-Bachelor lives. While the transition wasn’t easy, it certainly sounds like they have a normal relationship that no longer includes awkward rose ceremonies and dozens of other women vying for Ben’s heart.

“Starting a life together is never going to be this super smooth transition,” Ben tells Us Weekly. “It’s going to have rocky edges at times, but I love coming home to her at the end of the day.”

And yes, Ben and Lauren do argue.

Their arguments of late revolve around “silly stuff” like redecorating their home in Denver. Bushnell states that Ben will ask, “Why do we need a new couch? We have a couch!” something that’s been a “point of contention.” Sounds like normal couple life, right?

Why did Ben and Lauren decide to return to TV? Other than the obvious — they are likely earning a nice chunk of cash — Lauren tells Us it’s a “fun way to share life after the Bachelor.”

“After you walk away from The Bachelor, it’s not like your life becomes private,” Ben states. “People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public.”

Are you excited to watch Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After on Freeform this October?
