P!nk Opens Up About Motherhood
When P!nk first started in the business nearly 12 years ago, she was a voice of rebellion amongst the pop tarts for her generation. She came out with attitude-fueled hits like “There You Go” and “You Make Me Sick.”
Now, fast forward and P!nk, real name Alecia Moore, is a bit toned down. Now a 32 year-old mother to daughter Willow, P!nk opened up to PEOPLE about the contrasts of her life and the joy she has now that her family is complete.
“We have no idea what we did before having Willow. Having a child is the best thing that could happen.”
P!nk, who is married to pro motorcrosser Carey Hart, turns 33 on Saturday and will celebrate a little earlier by performing on MTV’s VMA ceremony. However, don’t expect the “Trouble” singer to turn back to her old ways. The singer notes that who she was back then is vastly different from who she is now, telling the magazine:
“I was a delinquent. An angry, rebellious, self-righteous, ambitious, crazy person who liked to have too much fun.”
With a new lifestyle, her music is subject to change, and even P!nk, who has always seemed to be very confident with her position in the industry, was apprehensive about going back into the studio.
“Every time I make a new record I’m like, ‘I wonder if I can even sing or if I have anything to say,’ I mean, I’ve been changing diapers and having dinner parties, who does that? I don’t even know who I am!,” said P!nk.
P!nk’s new album titled The Truth About Love will be out in stores on September 18.
