‘RHOC’ Star Lauri Peterson’s Son Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder

The son of The Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Lauri Peterson has been on the show in the past, and fans still like to keep up with what she is up to now. LA Times has shared that Lauri’s son Joshua Waring is now behind bars. This is all from a shooting in Costa Mesa. The arrest went down after a police chase in Santa Ana.

Police are saying that Lauri Peterson’s son allegedly shot a 35-year-old man in the lower torso around 2:30 a.m. The two were having some kind of disagreement. At this time, police do not know what Lauri Peterson’s son was arguing about with the other man. Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman made a statement, saying, “Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned.”

The man that Lauri Peterson’s son allegedly shot was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to survive. When the police arrived at the scene of the shooting, a man that was identified by witnesses as Lauri Peterson’s son Joshua Waring had already fled in a stolen BMW SUV. It took about eight hours before a helicopter saw the vehicle, and the police ended up in a chase with Waring, who crashed the vehicle. Then, Lauri’s son took off on foot before being caught by police.

Lauri Peterson’s son was arrested on charges of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading police, hit-and-run and assault and battery. He was put behind bars with a bond of $1 million. When they went through Lauri’s son’s vehicle they were able to find evidence that linked him to the shooting, but they did not find the gun in the vehicle.

In the past, Lauri Peterson’s son had been arrested for various drug charges, battery and more. His mom was actually on the show from 2006 until 2008. Bravo shared that Lauri Peterson left the show so that she could deal with her son’s problems. Lauri’s son is clearly still dealing with some issues at this time.

Back in October of 2015, Bravo shared that Lauri Peterson had adopted her granddaughter and was now the one raising her. At the time, it was shared that Josh and his wife were dealing with personal issues. Lauri gave a statement sharing about her decision to adopt her granddaughter.

“As most of the viewers know, I have a son and he’s had just a lot of challenges. And he and his wife had a baby almost three years ago. He’s really struggling and, well, they’re both really struggling. And so [my husband] George and I elected to help out and we actually adopted Kennedy, and so we’re raising her. It’s been such a great experience because this is helping them out and hopefully they can get their lives together and be OK. But on the other hand for George and I, I’ve watched him raise his kids, he’s watched me raise my kids, but we didn’t have a child together and now I get to see a side of George that I’ve never seen before. And if I was in love with him before, I’ve fallen so hard in love with him now because he is so generous to take on this huge responsibility.”
