Meghan King Edmonds? Pregnant – ‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’? Star Having A Baby Girl With Husband Jim Edmonds
Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Meghan King Edmonds is pregnant, reports NY Daily News. The RHOC star and husband Jim Edmonds took to Instagram to make the announcement. Meghan, 31, reveals in the caption that they are expecting a baby girl, with the picture revealing her baby bump with her husband Jim, 45, lovingly looking at her belly.
“We’re expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice! Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!”
This big announcement, which came this morning, is being made just several hours before the newest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres on Bravo, which in all honesty sounds like some pretty smart marketing on their part.
Meghan King Edmonds? has four stepchildren (Lauren, Landon, Hayley, and Sutton) with husband and former professional baseball player Jim Edmonds, and lives half the year in St. Louis, while the other half of the year is spent in Newport Beach. Last year, Meghan let it be known that she was really looking forward to raising a child of her own with Jim. Her role as a stepmother to Jim’s children from his previous marriages was brought up during the previous season of RHOC. Vicki Gunvalson, one of the other stars of the Bravo reality series, wasn’t very happy with what Meghan had to say in regard to her role as a step-mom.
“To say we’re thrilled to expand our family is an understatement,” the mother-to-be told The Daily Dish. “Life will definitely be busy, but we’d have it no other way.”
In January earlier this year, Meghan also let it be known on her social media that she was very much looking forward to bringing in one more addition to the family of six. This is something that she and Jim have been planning for a while now.

Meghan became pregnant through her first round of IVF, with frozen sperm provided by her husband who had previously had a vasectomy. Luckily, she got pregnant on the very first try. Despite that, it was a long process for the couple, Meghan in particular, and the RHOC star was fighting her way through a lot of pain and discomfort. Even the recovery phase was a difficult process, at the end of the day, this was still a dream that she was happy to see finally coming true.
Deciding to be a stepmother brought along its own series of difficulties and challenges, Meghan told StepMom Magazine back in March.
“I had to ask myself if my love for him was strong enough to take on the challenge of becoming a stepmom, because I knew there would be tough times. [At the beginning], the kids were at needy ages and it just felt like way too much.”
Meghan went on to say that Jim’s oldest daughter Lauren, 22, has been growing to be more accepting of Meghan’s role as her father’s wife. Jim and Meghan have only been married for nearly two years, after officially exchanging their vows in October of 2014. Her active role in the lives of her stepchildren were well-documented in the previous season of RHOC.
Meghan King Edmonds’ pregnancy is sure to be explored further in more detail in tonight’s premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County Season 11. Meghan apparently is very happy with her new pregnancy body and the fact that she is now able to twerk.
“I’m so excited. I finally have a bum! For the first time in my life I can twerk,” Meghan said.
