Zayn Malik Opens Up About Sexy Lyrics, Gigi Hadid, Harry Styles, One Direction, And His Anxiety

Zayn Malik’s career is once again on the fast track. There are a lot of photo shoots, performances, and interviews in his busy schedule. Zayn’s life is anything but routine as he explained to Paper in a recent interview. He is always trying to squeeze in time for recreation, friendships, and romance as well as his work.

“It’s been pretty mad,”

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have an intensely romantic relationship but usually enjoy quiet evenings at home to wild times. Still, he has a tight schedule and treasures his moments with Gigi. That leaves very little time to take care of himself physically and emotionally. Malik attributed his recent anxiety attacks to poor nutrition and has been trying to eat healthier and more often. Rumors about the loving couple’s breakup seem to be false.

Zayn Malik and the other One Direction singers grew up in the spotlight, with years of experience in performing before they came of age. Zayn has expressed on numerous occasions how difficult it was to come of age with One Direction. His band mates have been offended by his complaints, taking it personally that Malik says he felt so out of place, and so restricted as Hollywood Life explains.

Harry Styles for one, has no hard feelings toward Zayn anymore according to Hollywood life. He too is pursuing a solo career and now enjoys his creative freedom as much as Malik. This year, Harry Styles is producing his own album and staring in the Movie Dunkirk. Styles never complained about the restrictions, but one might suspect he too felt at least a bit of that teenage angst.

Zayn Malik told Paper he hated not being able to grow a beard or change his hair color.

“Facial hair was a weird thing. I think it’s ’cause I just looked old. And they didn’t like that. [And] I always wanted a beard! I think every dude does when they’re young. Seeing Al Pacino in Carlito’s Way — I needed the goatee after that. I was like, ‘I wanna be Al Pacino.’ I’ve always been obsessed with that, and I had to shave it off. I used to get a bit sad.”

In the past, he mentioned feeling limited in his musical expression. Hollywood Life recaps a previous interview.

“I just knew it was my time [to quit 1D]. I knew I wanted to do something different and start expressing the way I felt about certain things. I have always liked [RCA]… They seemed to treat me as though I was an artist for the first time, which felt really cool. I had written a lot of [music] before I went with RCA and they liked where I was going and wanted to give me freedom so I was like, ‘Cool.'”

Harry Styles and the rest of the band get big love from Zayn Malik, though. Zayn loves all the members of the band, and his creative frustrations were never directed at them, only those who sought to keep the band’s squeaky clean image in place. A source told Hollywood Life Malik was upset that the band took his comments so personally.

“Zayn doesn’t understand why Harry or any of the other guys are taking what he said in his recent interview personally. He never said he had an issue with the members. He feels like he’s being attacked for no reason. He has nothing but love for the guys and just wants to move on.”

Harry Styles of all people loves creative freedom and is using his time off to perfect his musical talent and develop his skills as an actor as well. Harry Styles has not sought out the company of his bandmates while on the break either, Zayn included, but he has said he is not angry with any of them, just busy.

Zayn Malik has wasted no time, writing sexy lyrics, getting tattoos, growing a beard and dying his hair pink several months ago. He claims those sexy lyrics just came out. Maybe he’d been repressing those thoughts, or maybe he equated sexy words with being an adult?

“It wasn’t a conscious decision to make [the album] sexual or refer to sex. But I just found out that a lot of situations that I was in were quite sexual situations — all of the time. I enjoyed singing about [sex], clearly.”

Zayn Malik misted up a bit as he told Paper how much he appreciated the loyalty of fans who stuck with him through the transition from One Direction to solo artist.

“Overwhelming… There’ve been a few moments where I’ve been really taken aback… I feel like everybody looks for some sort of approval from some form in their life, and my fans are my approval. It’s a sense of achievement that you can’t really explain. To still be valuable by yourself is an important thing.”

Gigi Hadid was also the recipient of loving comments from Zayn Malik who said, despite Gigi’s amazing figure, says he loves her most for her intelligence.

“I’ve always said it and I still stand by it: I find intelligence attractive. When I learn something from somebody and they teach me something, that’s an attractive thing for me. Obviously, I find physical appearance attractive as well, but it’s definitely squared more towards a personality as I’ve gotten older, because you can’t have a long-term relationship unless you get on with the person. It doesn’t matter really about the exterior.”

Zayn Malik says he doesn’t go out much anymore. With such a great girlfriend at home, why go out? Zayn smiled as he told Paper his plans for the evening with Gigi Hadid.

“We’ll see each other tonight and probably watch a film, Netflix and chill. Yeah, we do that a lot.”

Zayn Malik is feeling introspective and expressing affection to Harry Styles and One Direction, Gigi Hadid and all the fans.
