Tom Hiddleston Gushed About Taylor Swift Months Ago, Calvin Harris Feels ‘Betrayed’ She Moved On So Fast
Tom Hiddleston’s romance with Taylor Swift may have started months ago. Was Hiddleston the reason behind Swift’s breakup with Calvin Harris?
CNN is reporting that Hiddleston and Swift were recently seen holding hand and exchanging kisses in Rhode Island. The outing came soon after Swift’s emotional split with Harris.
Swift and Hiddleston, who is known for his part as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared a romantic beach walk that concluded with a heated kiss.
The photographs from the outing quickly made headlines and naturally led to rumors of a potential romance between the two stars. Their first appearance, however, occurred during the Met Gala in New York earlier this year.
According to People, fans watched as Hiddleston and Swift got on the dance floor together during the event. Later, Hiddleston admitted that the dance-off was entirely Swift’s plan.
“I was on a table with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd was playing and she said, ‘The thing about these parties is nobody gets up to dance and you’re making music,’ ” Hiddleston shared. “She, as a musician, was like, ‘We’ve got to dance for The Weeknd,’ so we got up and danced.”
Video of the two displaying their dance moves quickly made it to Instagram. It didn’t take long before the clip went viral.
During an interview with MTV, Hiddleston opened up about his time with Swift during the Met Gala.
“I sat next to her at dinner that night and she’s very charming, she’s amazing,” he stated. “I’ve seen a couple of her videos. I think ‘Shake It Off’ was released around the time we made I Saw the Light, and she’s very cool.”
Of course, neither Hiddleston nor Swift have officially commented on the romance rumors. Instead, the stars have unfollowed each other on social media in an attempt to dispel the reports.
That being said, the Independent noted that Tom Hiddleston is definitely benefiting from the rumors. In one week, the actor has gone from being a beloved British star to worldwide fame. And he has Swift to thank for it.
Unfortunately for other British women, they have lost yet another star to an American woman. In one afternoon of beachside kissing, Swift single handily crushed anyone’s dream of getting with Hiddleston.
Despite now being linked to Swift, Hiddleston definitely has his work cut out. After all, he is not the first British hunk to enter a relationship with the pop star, and likely won’t be the last.
Although she has gone through a number of different men over the years, Swift has avoided the bad press. In fact, her formula for success, which includes dumping a guy after a year or so of dating and writing songs about it, has worked so far. Why would anything change?
“He did not know Taylor and Tom were together,” an insider shared.
At this time, it is unclear if Hiddleston was a factor in Harris’ breakup with Swift. Until more information is revealed, fans are left wondering how Harris will react in the coming days to the news.
While fans wait to learn more, it will be interesting to see if Hiddleston and Swift make any official announcements in the weeks to come.
If the two are really serious about their romance, then it is possible they’ll make the perfect couple. If it just a fling, fans might have to wait a while before the truth comes out.
