Iggy Azalea And Nick Young Break Up Because She Can’t Trust Him

According to E! News, another Hollywood couple has officially called it quits. Iggy Azalea took to social media to give her fans an update about her relationship with Nick Young. While her update did not directly say she and Nick Young were splitting up, most assumed it was what she meant. It was not until later when Nick Young took to Twitter with the word “single” that Iggy Azalea and Nick Young fans received confirmation that the two were no longer a couple.

Earlier this spring, Nick Young had been accused of cheating on Iggy after video footage surfaced showing Young talking about how he had cheated on the singer. Some Iggy Azalea fans began to speculate that Iggy and Nick Young were breaking up when she celebrated her 26th birthday without him or her engagement ring, according to Hollywood Life.

Shortly after the video revealing Young talking about cheating on Azalea, Iggy said there was “nothing really” going on between her and Young. She also said she wasn’t “tryna marry a cheater.” It was less than a week later that Iggy was walking down the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards wearing the diamond engagement ring Nick Young had given her.

Azalea later attempted to laugh off all of the drama claiming she would chop off Nick Young’s manhood if she ever caught him cheating on her again. She did clarify that she would need real proof and evidence that Young was cheating on her before she did something so drastic.

“Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried to rebuild my trust in him – It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to,” Azalea wrote on Instagram. “I genuinely wish Nick the best. It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned you’re entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page.”

Iggy has been extremely open about her rocky relationship with Nick Young on social media and in various interviews.

In fact, during an interview on The Bert Show, she was asked about her future with Nick.

“I’m still figuring it all out…I think last year, the year that I had, has kind of taught me maybe it’s best to just wait until it’s like a little more past tense before you kind of speak about necessarily how you feel about something.”

In March of this year, she revealed during an interview with Ryan Seacrest that she and Nick Young had made the decision to postpone their wedding plans until a later date.

“I’m planning my wedding, actually moved my wedding ’cause I have to tour so my wedding plans are changing,” she said. “It was going to happen at the end of the year but now I have to go to work so we’ll probably have to wait until the end of the next basketball season to do that. So that kind of is a bit sucky, but it’s alright.”

Naturally, Ellen DeGeneres also asked about Iggy and Nick Young when she conducted an interview with her. Iggy assured Ellen that she and Young were “doing ok.” “We’re good. There isn’t [controversy] at home just on the Internet,” Azalea shared.

It was in June of last year that Iggy and Nick Young originally got engaged. Nick proposed to Azalea during a party for his 30th birthday.

“It was a beautiful celebration for Nick with only his close friends and family,” a source close to Nick and Iggy shared. “Nick completely surprised Iggy with the proposal. She was shocked and so excited and emotional at the same time.”
