‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6: Expect To See ‘OUAT’ Characters In A New Way [Spoilers]

Once Upon A Time Season 6 premieres on ABC this fall. It seems like viewers will have to wait a long time. One way to get through the hiatus is by learning new details on what fans can expect. A recent OUAT spoiler revealed that the Storybrooke characters will be seen in a new way.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers include new characters extending beyond fairy tales. However, that doesn’t mean fans won’t get plenty of scenes with the current cast of OUAT.

Recently, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis revealed that the format for the series will change. Instead of seeing two halves in one season, expect to see smaller arcs.

“This season is going to be different from past because it’s not going to be Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale, he dies and we move on,” Eddy Kitsis explained to Entertainment Weekly. “We are changing around what we’re doing this year and going back to that Season 1 mentality of small-town stories and smaller arcs.”

Once Upon A Time Season 6 will feature new characters, but that doesn’t mean the old ones will be pushed aside. Actually, it is the opposite. Fans will see the Storybrooke residents with a new perspective.

“That’s actually providing the opportunity to look at our characters in a different way,” Adam Horowitz told EW. “What’s really exciting about it is, for Season 6, really being in Storybrooke again. As we hinted in the finale last year, in seeing the Evil Queen [Lana Parrilla] split, it’s allowing us to do that for a lot of our characters – not as literally – but it’s turning inward on a lot of these characters that we’ve been with for five seasons so far.”

Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers state that the storylines will go beyond the fairy tale. As seen in the season finale, there will be more plots from the Land Of Untold Stories. Nobody knows for sure who will pop up, but viewers are having fun developing theories.

Following Robin Hood’s death in Once Upon A Time, Regina will have a difficult time. Not only did she lose the man she loved, but he was the father of her sister’s baby. As Carter Matt noted, Regina is one OUAT character that should experience some happiness in Once Upon A Time Season 6. However, with Regina battling the Evil Queen, will that even be possible?

Other Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers include Emma and Hook possibly having a fairy tale wedding. As for “Rumbelle,” viewers are wondering if Belle will forgive Rumple, just like she always did in the past. The character put herself in a deep slumber, but will he change? Is Rumple and Belle’s baby in any kind of danger?

Fans have been wondering if old characters may return to Once Upon A Time in Season 6. One character, in particular, is Tinker Bell. Actress Rose McIver spoke about Tinker Bell’s possible return.

“Yeah, we have tried a few times to bring her back but scheduling’s quite hard because they shoot at the same time as iZombie,” Rose McIver told Couture Caddy, according to Enstars. “But we are all in Vancouver and our showrunner is a good friend of the showrunners on Once Upon a Time. So we’re very hopeful that it’ll happen at some stage.”
