Meg Ryan’s New Face More Popular Than Orlando Massacre

Meg Ryan’s shocking appearance at the Tony Awards has been making headlines for a few days now, according to the New Daily. In fact, her new face was the most discussed topic on the internet on Monday, one day after 49 people were murdered and 53 more were wounded in Orlando, Florida.

At the Tony Awards, Meg Ryan shocked the audience with a very taut face, which was very different from what she looked like during her last public appearance. Social media users couldn’t but compare the 54-year-old actress’ new plastic surgery face to the way she looked in the 1990s romantic comedies.

Meg Ryan has repeatedly been asked about plastic surgery in the past, but she always refused to comment. But this time, hardly anyone still doubts whether or not the French Kiss actress has gone under the knife.

While welcoming on stage a performance from the Broadway musical cast of She Loves Me, Meg Ryan stood under downlighting, which only emphasized her new look. The actress was also criticized for her choice of wardrobe for the event.

Wearing a floaty gown with sheer sleeves from designer Blumarine, Meg Ryan looked as if she had wrinkled arms, which only worsened matters.

But what’s surprising is that the actress’ terrifying look was the most-talked-about story on social media, even outranking the Orlando brutal massacre.

In her interview with Porter magazine last year, Meg Ryan was asked about her constantly changing looks, and all the actress had to say was that she “loves” her age.

“I love my life right now. I love what I know about. I love the person I’ve become, the one I’ve evolved into.”

But does it mean that Meg Ryan has changed her opinion about loving herself the way she is? Does the 54-year-old actress look like this without the help of plastic surgeons? In that same interview, Ryan said talking about somebody’s looks can be funny “for five minutes,” but “it’s not that interesting.”

Well, in her own case, social media has been talking about her new taunt face for a few days now, and it sure seems like it’s still “interesting.”

And while some social media users are wondering what happened to Meg Ryan’s face, others couldn’t suppress their anger and criticized the actress for having plastic surgery, according to Yahoo News.

But there were lots of Meg Ryan’s fans who defended the actress’ decision to go under the knife. Some said that the actress cannot be blamed for undergoing plastic surgery in the “youth-worshiping world” we live in, while others said Ryan has the right to do whatever she wants with her own face.

Radar Online even reached out to a plastic surgeon to comment on Meg Ryan’s recent change in looks. Lyle M. Back, M.D., said that the actress had apparently undergone multiple laser resurfacings.

“It looks like she’s had multiple laser resurfacings, as well as way too much Botox and heavily pumped filler, especially in her overstuffed cheeks.”

So what does it mean? Does it mean that Meg Ryan doesn’t “love” her age anymore and that’s why she had to inject all that Botox and have laser resurfacings?

However, Meg Ryan is not the only actress who is being criticized for allegedly going under the knife. Such movie stars as Courteney Cox, Renee Zellweger, Uma Thurman, and Mary-Kate Olsen have all been attacked by social media users who claim they had all undergone plastic surgeries in the past.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Meg Ryan had, in fact, undergone plastic surgery, because plastic surgery is more popular in the United States than ever. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ data, there were 15.6 million cosmetic procedures performed in the U.S. in 2014.
