Guccifer 2.0 Documents Allegedly Reveal DNC Collusion With Clinton, Mainstream Media

A new hacker who identifies himself as Guccifer 2.0 has revealed confidential documents that point to collusion efforts between Hillary Clinton, the DNC, and the mainstream media. The documents the hacker released contain more than just the multi-pronged approach to derailing Donald Trump. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has already acknowledged that a hacker accessed its servers.

MSNBC has released a story about the hack, but as noted above, it only pertains to information about Donald Trump. The media outlet made only a passing reference to the other documents Guccifer 2.0 released, claiming “much of the information was already available publicly.”

A DNC official told MSNBC that CrowdStrike, a tech firm that investigated the data breach, identified Guccifer 2.0 as a Russian government operative. While the hacker himself has neither confirmed nor denied this, he insists that he worked alone.

On a blog post titled “Guccifer 2.0 DNC’s Server’s Hacked By a Lone Hacker,” he uploaded several documents that are allegedly confidential DNC documents pertaining to Hillary Clinton’s plan to defeat any Republican candidate for president, along with a list of high-dollar donors and the aforementioned Donald Trump papers.

“Worldwide known cyber security company CrowdStrike announced that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) servers had been hacked by ‘sophisticated’ hacker groups.

I’m very pleased the company appreciated my skills so highly … but in fact, it was easy, very easy.”

He then chided CrowdStrike for suggesting that he had only saved a few documents.

“Shame on CrowdStrike: Do you think I’ve been in the DNC’s networks for almost a year and saved only two documents? Do you really believe it?”

He then claimed to have saved thousands of documents, most of which he turned over to WikiLeaks, whose co-founder, Julian Assange, has announced a large Hillary Clinton document dump in the coming days.

With Guccifer 2.0’s revelation, it stands to reason that this new data dump may relate to the DNC hack.

So, what exactly do the documents released thus far reveal? At the very least, they reveal a coordinated effort between the DNC, Hillary Clinton, and the mainstream media to make play up Clinton’s positive’s while downplaying her negatives. It also reveals that the DNC has fed the mainstream media information and questions about Republican candidates that news anchors and reporters should ask during interviews.

In a document dated May 26, 2015 — a little over a month after Clinton announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination — the DNC issued a document specifically aimed at discrediting GOP candidates by working hand-in-hand with the mainstream media.

“Reporter Outreach: Working through the DNC and others, we should use background briefings, prep with reporters for interviews with GOP candidates, off-the-record conversations and oppo pitches to help pitch stories with no fingerprints and utilize reporters to drive a message.”

Also of note, the DNC disseminated this memo to the Clinton campaign one month after Bernie Sanders declared his campaign for president. The fact that neither he nor any other Democratic nominee is included in any early DNC campaign documents provides tentative confirmation that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC were biased in favor of Clinton from the very beginning.

The same document also calls for using targeted attacks to discredit GOP candidates.

“Use specific hits to muddy the waters around ethics, transparency, and campaign finance attacks on HRC.”

TruthDig reports that Assange believes the next data dump pertaining to Clinton could be enough to indict her.

“We have upcoming leads in relation to Hillary Clinton. We’ve accumulated a lot of material about Hillary Clinton. We could proceed to an indictment.”

He then pivoted and said the FBI could “push for concessions” to gain favor in a potential Clinton administration rather than push for indictment. He also indicated that the emails could be damning for the Clinton Foundation.

Another document the Guccifer 2.0 allegedly retrieved from the DNC servers is rich in irony. In what appears to be a detailed strategy for Clinton to appeal to voters, her campaign attempts to paint itself as working for the “little guy.” Suggested talking points include being seen as a champion for working families, reining in CEO pay, and policies that look to the future instead of the past.

“The oil companies, the pharmaceutical companies, the hedge funds — these guys have already made it. We’ve got to focus on solutions for the new challenges we face.”

Since Clinton has received large donations in pharmaceutical and fossil fuel lobbyists, her claim to want to make it easier for Americans to prosper is a head scratcher. To top that off, her son-in-law, Marc Mezvinsky, is a hedge fund manager whose Greek fund lost 90 percent of its value in recent months. He also previously worked for Goldman Sachs. Thus, Clinton’s claim to put a damper on these industries doesn’t wash.

Other documents the hacker revealed show the names of donors who gave large contributions. Among those are film maker Stephen Spielberg and actor Morgan Freeman, both of whom gave at least $1 million each to the organization.

The DNC is supposed to remain impartial in the Democratic primary race. If further documents reveal a coordinated effort between Clinton, the mainstream media and the DNC against Bernie Sanders, it would give validation to his claims that establishment Democrats stacked the deck against him. If WikiLeaks verifies Guccifer 2.0’s documents, it will certainly be interesting to see how the DNC, Clinton and the mainstream media coordinated together to use “specific hits” against Sanders once it makes its next data dump.
