Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, And LuAnn De Lesseps Show Jules Wainstein Support After Divorce News

Many of Jules Wainstein’s The Real Housewives of New York City co-stars have voiced support for her in the wake of the news that her husband of eight years, Michael Wainstein, has filed for divorce. On Wednesday, hours after the news about the divorce hit the Internet, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan spoke out about the divorce. As the latest episode of the Bravo reality TV show aired on Wednesday night, both Dorinda Medley and LuAnn de Lesseps publicly showed their support for Jules via social media.

Ramona told E! News that she’s there for Jules.

“I’m very saddened for Jules. I know her heart’s broken. It’s never easy when there are problems in a marriage, especially when you realize you need to divorce and I’m there for her. She’s doing as well as she can in the situation and her priority—because she is such a great mother—are her two children. I think Jules was totally shocked by what happened and was very disappointed and it’s sad. It’s just very sad.”

Ramona added that she and the other Real Housewives stars will help get Jules get through the difficult time.

“I think anyone has the strength to get through anything if they have good friends and I think through the show, we may beat each other up sometimes verbally, but I know we’re all there for her. We’re going to support her 100 percent plus.”

Sonja, in a statement to E! News, said that her heart goes out to Jules and Michael.

“Having gone through a high profile divorce myself I hope people will respect the Wainstein’s privacy during this difficult time. There are small children involved and both are loving parents who want the best for their children as does the entire family. They are a close knit bunch and my heart goes out to them.”

Dorinda has been friends with Jules since before the show and was the one to introduce her to the other women. As the latest episode aired on Wednesday night, Dorinda tweeted to Jules that she loves her and is there for her.

After a viewer expressed sadness over the divorce news and gratitude that at least Jules has Dorinda, Dorinda tweeted that she and Jules are “BFFs.”

LuAnn, meanwhile, posted a photo of herself hanging out with Jules. It’s not clear if the photo was taken today or LuAnn just posted it today to show support for Jules.

In her blog post recapping the latest episode, Bethenny Frankel talked about the awkward dinner that Jules and Michael had with Dorinda and her beau, John Mahdessian. Bethenny noted the tension between Jules and Michael. Bethenny did not mention the fact that Jules and Michael are now divorcing.

“It’s looking like Jules and Michael are having some trouble in paradise. That I don’t miss, and that I don’t envy. I do ‘suck at relationships,’ but I’d rather be solo than feel like that. Tensions have arisen over there.”

Jules Wainstein’s representative confirmed to Bravo TV’s The Daily Dish that the cause of the split is cheating. The rep added that Jules was blindsided by Michael’s cheating. In a statement to the website, Jules, via her rep, thanked her fans for their support. The housewife also managed to include a plug for her business, a clearing tonic drink system, in the statement.

“She appreciates the support of her Bravo family and fans. Her main concern right now is taking care of her kids and focusing on her Modern Alkeme drink.”

Jules and Michael joined the latest season of The Real Housewives of New York City as friends of Dorinda Medley. Jules has been shown being a stay-at-home mom who is devoted to her two young children while her husband brings home the bacon as a principal at Private Capital Group. While they have been shown bickering with one another from time to time, there really hasn’t been any major arguments or issues, such as cheating, highlighted between them that would foreshadow a divorce.

Jules was actually the only cast member of the show to actually be married. In a statement to Us Weekly, Jules’ rep clarified that didn’t contribute to the end of the marriage.

“It has nothing to do with the show. They had issues for awhile but Jules was blindsided by this.”
