Paris Jackson Shares About How Tattoos Are Her Means To Cover Her Pain, Shuts Down Chris Brown Dating Rumors
Paris Jackson, the daughter to the late pop icon Michael Jackson, has been open about her struggles as of late. Earlier this year, Paris revealed that she has been a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and her mother admitted to the teen’s attempt to commit suicide.
At this point, Paris Jackson appears to be in a much better place. Jackson has a new boyfriend, and on June 15, she shared about the “self-hatred” and “dark past” that she was once immersed in. Paris then stated that she has covered up that part of her past with meaningful tattoos as a therapeutic way to remind herself that this does not have to be a part of her life.

Paris went so far as to post an Instagram picture of her tattoos and also explained the controversy behind the new additions to her body. Wonderwall notes Jackson’s words about the tattoos.
“The craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. Some people like them, some people absolutely hate them. I appreciate art, I always have. especially when that art means something to me. Today I can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, I don’t see a dark past anymore. My scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth.”
The young woman, dressed in a Motley Crue t-shirt and ripped jean shorts, commented about how she will always take her past with her but that she sees the ink of the tattoo as a way to change her in a positive way and is a symbol of her steady improvements. Jackson admits that the tattoos are a representation of strength for her and shares how she looks back at her old self then sees herself in the mirror in the present as a fighter and over-comer of trials she’s faced.
Wonderwall continues to relay the words of Jackson.
“I’ll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong. We all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be. So to anyone struggling, it gets better. You’re not alone.”
As the Huffington Post shares, the daughter of Michael Jackson often posts pictures of her tattoos to Instagram, some of which are depictions of her late father and her grandmother, Katherine. Paris’ brother Prince has recently gotten some ink of his own on his back.
