Is Ben Affleck Playing Games With Jennifer Garner? Reports Claim He Doesn’t Want To Reconcile, He Wants To Save His Fortune

Ben Affleck has tried hard to make it look like he wants to reconcile with Jennifer Garner.

From public appearances to romantic getaways, Affleck has been working his charm on Garner over the past year. Despite putting on a united front in public, are Affleck’s intentions different behind the scenes?

According to Radar Online, Affleck is not planning on reconciling with Garner. Instead, the Batman v Superman star’s main motivation is keeping a tight hold on his wealth.

In fact, an insider revealed that Garner wants to split everything with Affleck, who isn’t ready to give up his hard-earned fortune.

“Ben can’t afford to divorce,” the source shared. “Now that Jen’s deal is on the table, he’s beginning to realize she’s going to leave him flat broke and there’s nothing he can do about it.”

Affleck’s wealth is estimated at around $75 million, half of which would go to Garner.

Apparently, the only way Affleck can retain his assets is to reconcile with Garner.

“The only solution he’s got to keeping his fortune is to patch things up with her,” the insider stated.

That being said, the source noted that Affleck’s motivations aren’t solely related to money. Although keeping his fortune is a factor, Affleck still has feelings for his family and wife.

“But it’s not solely about cash – he does love their family and he and Jen do genuinely care for each other,” the insider noted.

For her part, Garner isn’t quite ready to make things right with Affleck. Despite her hesitation, the actor has high hopes that she will eventually come around.

“[Affleck] is quite literally banking on her coming around because if she rejects him, he’s going to have to start rebuilding his bank balance from scratch!”

Meanwhile, with Affleck and Garner still appearing in public together, rumors have surfaced regarding their marriage. Despite hints that Garner is pregnant again, the International Business Times is reporting that the actress is not carrying her fourth baby.

Garner was recently spotted in Los Angeles sporting skinny jeans and a fit figure. With no baby bump in sight, the Alias star made her way to a Brentwood party with a friend.

The outing conflicts with reports that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are expecting another child together. The pregnancy rumors started after the two were spotted on a romantic vacation in Europe that included stops in Italy and Paris.

At this time, it still isn’t clear if Garner and Affleck are planning on going through with their divorce. Although they announced their split almost a year ago, the two have yet to finalize the court documents, leaving many fans wondering about their future together.

For his part, Affleck has been keeping plenty busy as of late. Apart from his work on the upcoming Justice League film, the Huffington Post reports that Affleck recently shared an old photo of his best friend, Matt Damon, on Instagram.

Affleck tagged the photo #NationalBestFriendsDay. The image featured the two actors back in the late ’90s sharing a special birthday moment together.

“This guy. #NationalBestFriendsDay,” Affleck captioned the image.

Affleck and Damon recently took home a Guys Choice Award for Guys of the Decade. During their acceptance speech, Affleck couldn’t help but joke about their career together.

“I think it goes without saying that this is an award Matt and I have been dreaming about since we were little boys,” he stated. “I did Gigli, and Matt did that Liberace movie and all of a sudden, it all seemed out of reach. Then I did [Batman v Superman] and all of a sudden, it was back in reach again.”
