Martha Stewart Coming To Your Kitchen With New Meal Delivery Service
Tonight, Martha Stewart can be right next to you in your own kitchen, giving you the tools and confidence to create a delicious dinner. She has now joined up with Marley Spoon to create her special brand of delicious and nutritious meals, using local producers. Stewart, who has been teaching people how to entertain and cook for over 30 years, sees this as the new normal.
“It is, I think, the way to cook for the future.’

Sequential Brands Group, the company that owns Martha’s company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, has matched up with Marley Spoon, an existing meal delivery service. With Martha front and center, as spokesperson and recipe creator, the service is now going to logically be called Martha & Marley Spoon. The nutritious meals are sourced from local growers and purveyors and are packaged up for either two adults, or for a family of four with portions for two adults and two children.
‘”Subscribers will get a box shipped to their door with Stewart’s recipes and all the ingredients needed to cook up the dishes at home, including pre-measured raw meat, fish, vegetables and spices.”
The meals are estimated to cost between $8.70 and $12.00 per serving. This is a bargain for anyone who wants to hone their current skills and stretch as a home cook. Instead of taking an expensive cooking class where you are lucky to sample the final result, you have the wisdom of Martha with you as you prepare your spectacular meal. Best of all, the recipe choices such as shrimp tortilla soup, skillet Stroganoff, and grilled tofu with chimichurri sound more like what a chef would prepare for you at a fine restaurant, not something you have whipped up in your own home.
One of the best parts of using a meal delivery service? Martha believes that this service will help eliminate food waste.
“Waste is one of the biggest biggest problems that we have in supermarket kind of cooking.”
In addition, Martha & Marley Spoon includes tips on how to use up food scraps that are often tossed away, such as rinds from lemons or orange. In addition, if the food packaging is not recycled, it can be sent back to the company.

As expected, Martha did not hook up with Marley Spoon without checking out their food, as well as trying out “every single one of the available food kit companies.” Some of the meal services that Martha tried out included Purple Carrot, Blue Apron, Plated, and Hello Fresh. It is not hard to imagine that any of Martha’s delicious 18,000-plus recipes could fit in nicely with the new and improved meal service at Martha & Marley Spoon.
So, why Martha? What could also be key to success is mass appeal and name recognition. Obviously, Martha Stewart is a well-known cookbook author and teacher, showing home cooks how to create sensational meals and desserts. Also, the age group that is most likely to use this sort of service are millennials who are out on their own for the first time. Many are so busy with their careers that they don’t have the time to properly grocery shop. Best of all, Martha Stewart already appeals to millennials.
Stewart is considered the original when it comes to crafting, gardening, and home cooking. Popular actress Blake Lively is a huge fan as well as friend of Stewart. Young women like Blake want to emulate Stewart’s homey ideas and are bound to embrace the opportunity to try out Martha’s delicious recipes with the fresh ingredients. Sounds like a recipe for success!
