Russell Crowe Dating Steve Irwin’s Widow, Terri Irwin, While He’s Still Married

Russell Crowe is reportedly dating Steve Irwin’s widow, Terri Irwin, even though he’s still married. Terri Irwin, 51, and Russell Crowe, 52, have been trying to keep their relationship a secret for months. But, according to Radar Online on Tuesday, neighbor’s of Irwin have recently spotted a half-naked Crowe sneaking around on the balcony of her $3.2 million dollar home on Sunshine Coast in Australia.

The late “Crocodile Hunter,” Steve Irwin, and the Oscar-winning actor, Russell Crowe, were apparently best friends before Irwin was killed by a stingray barb to the chest while filming an underwater documentary in 2006. Crowe reportedly helped Steve Irwin’s widow, Terri Irwin, and the couple’s two children, Bindi Sue Irwin and Robert Clarence Irwin, deal with their grief following Steve’s untimely and shocking death nearly 10 years ago.

Crowe even introduced a public memorial service for Steve Irwin that was broadcast worldwide from the Australia Zoo’s Crocoseum on September 20, 2006, only 16 days after the beloved “Crocodile Hunter” died. Now, some are saying that Steve Irwin was a devoted family man with strict family values who would be “rolling over in his grave” if he knew that his widow, Terri, was dating a married man. Russell Crowe has been separated from Australian singer Danielle Spencer, 47, since late 2012, but not legally.

Even though Crowe and Spencer are separated, they’re not legally divorced. The on-again-off-again couple, who met in 1989 during the filming of the romantic drama, The Crossing, announced they had separated in October 2012, after nearly 10 years of marriage and two children. Russell Crowe was actually romantically involved with another one of his movie costar’s, Meg Ryan, 54, only three years prior to wedding Spencer. Fans of the New Zealand-born actor, who’s best known for starring in the epic film Gladiator in 2000, aren’t really surprised that he’s been caught dating while he’s still legally married to Danielle Spencer.

However, loyal fans of the Irwin family are somewhat shocked that Terri Irwin would allow herself to become “the other woman.” The long and drawn-out split between Crowe and Spencer certainly hasn’t kept Irwin from dating Crowe on the sly for what some are saying has been an ongoing “secret” relationship for several months, maybe even several years. According to a recent report by Stuff Entertainment, a source close to the couple says they have finally decided to go public, especially considering Crowe has been spending more and more time with Irwin since 2012.

The source claims that Russell Crowe and Terri Irwin “can’t fight their feelings any longer.”

“The firm friends have taken their sizzling chemistry to a new level.”

But the source also says that Terri dating Russell while he’s still married is disrespectful to Steve’s legacy, even though they’re a “perfect match.” Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe aren’t keeping their romantic relationship under wraps any longer. There’s no definite or official end to Crowe’s marriage, but Irwin and Crowe have already gone public on social media. Crowe even went as far as to call Irwin his “love” after Irwin wrote that she was thinking of him on Twitter.

Now, Irwin’s neighbors have reported seeing Crowe hanging around her expensive Australian mansion more often here lately, usually partially-clad and on the balcony. The inside source says that no one is surprised that Russell Crowe and Terri Irwin have taken things to the next level. Their relationship reportedly blossomed when Bindi, 17, was performing on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars in November 2015. At the time, Russell Crowe apparently counseled Bindi on breaking into showbiz and landed meetings for Bindi with talent agents.

Yahoo! Entertainment reported in May that Bindi and Terri joined Russell Crowe on the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of Crowe’s new movie, The Nice Guys.
