The tribute came during his performance of his title track, “Purpose.” A pause occurred, and then he asked the question.
“Grimmie, can you hear me?”
The use of the nickname “Grimmie” showed how close they had become, because that is how friends of Christina typically referred to her.

As the Inquisitr reported, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun , has joined other celebrities in seeking gun control laws following the tragic death of Grimmie, who was shot after a performance, followed by the terrifying nightclub shooting in Orlando.
In addition to Justin and his manager, many members of the entertainment world are using their time on stage to honor Christina. Grimmie has received emotional tributes while these celebrities are on stage from those who were close to her, including Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth, as well as those who were acquainted with her, reported USA Today .

During her concert, Gomez joined Justin in being moved to tears, crying as she honored and mourned Christina. The singer joined those expressing bewilderment and heartbreak over Grimmie’s death. She dedicated a song, “Transfiguration,” to Christina.
“The one thing about Christina and her family, is that she holds her faith so closely to her,” she revealed. “It’s not about her religion, and it’s not about good deeds. It’s just that she had faith. And I don’t really understand how this happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her.”
Like Bieber and Gomez, Charlie Puth was a personal friend of Grimmie’s. Charlie chose “See You Again” as a way to honor Christina.
“I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight,” he said.
Puth was among those who wanted to use music as a way to express his feelings.
“I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that,” he explained.
During a performance in New York, Fifth Harmony’s five stars also honored Grimmie.
“She was nothing but nice to us, so humble,” recalled Normani Kordei during the tribute. “We love you. We’re praying for your family and we know that you’re smiling down from above.”
But amid those paying tribute to those who lost their lives in these horrific shootings and those seeking a way to make a difference through gun control, it is Bieber’s newest style that seems to be getting the spotlight.
Vanity Fair pointed out that the Biebs has become known for developing his own unique style, which includes sucking on pacifiers and moon shoes . Now, however, his new fashion is raising questions about whether the “Sorry” singer has gone too far.

Showing off his new style at a concert in Canada, Justin wore khaki shorts pulled over blue jeans. The style was compared to the shirt over jeans look (circa 1990s) and the sweatshirt tied around the waist, hanging down in back fashion (just like a camp counselor).
New York Magazine also questioned the new style of khaki shorts layered with jeans. In particular, the shorts were described as “more suited to be worn over a Brooks Brothers mannequin than jeans.”
However, the publication also offered an explanation for why the decision to go with both shorts and jeans, suggesting that modesty motivated Bieber to cover his legs.
