Nintendo Exclusives At E3 Are Plentiful

E3 kicks off on Sunday with press conferences from Electronic Arts and Bethesda. One particular area this year that some are not discussing is Nintendo exclusives at E3. Nintendo has put together a particularly impressive lineup of games that you can only find on Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS, and not all of the games are of the first party variety.

The Next Installment of The Legend of Zelda

The most obvious Nintendo exclusive that fans can expect to see at E3 is the next installment of The Legend of Zelda. While no title has been given, it’s safe to say that the working title Zelda Wii U will not be its final name considering it was announced earlier that the game would launch on the upcoming Nintendo NX alongside the Wii U.

The entirety of the June 14 Nintendo Treehouse Live will be devoted to demoing Zelda. Nintendo has told the press to expect to set aside about 90 minutes of time. There will be two demos of the game that consist of about 45 minutes of play time a piece.

Rumors abound that a great many details will be divulged for the first time. It is expected that this will be the first Zelda title to allow the player to choose whether or not they want to play as a male of female Link. Voice acting is also expected to be added.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

The only other exclusive Wii U title that fans can expect to see from Nintendo at E3 is Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. The game releases for the Wii U later this month on June 24. It is set in modern-day Tokyo, and the player will need to elicit help from characters of the Fire Emblem series to thwart monsters that have invaded according to the official website.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon

The remainder of Nintendo exclusives at E3 will all be on the 3DS. What better way to kick things for the handheld than devote an entire day to Pokemon? Nintendo’s third day will consist of all things Pokemon including the next generation.

Adding Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon to the E3 lineup was a little surprising. In the past, Pokemon has had little presence at E3. Regardless, fans can expect even more information about what to expect from the next entry in the popular series.

Corpse Party

Nintendo will continue with a steady diet of 3DS games that we are not particularly used to seeing. Corpse Party is a Mature title brought to fans by XSEED games. It is a remastered version of a PSP game from 2011 by the same name according to IGN.

Corpse Party follows a group of high school students stranded in a haunted elementary school. The students must survive decaying corpses and souls of vanished children. The game promises uncensored images and a soundtrack designed to frighten even the most hardened gamer.

Monster Hunter Generations

If monster-slaying is your forte, Capcom’s popular next popular Monster Hunters title will be something to look forward too. Monster Hunters Generations promises to be the most customizable Monster Hunter game to date. The player is tasked with defending four villages from the dreaded Fated Four. Expect over a hundred hours of playtime for you 3DS.

Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice

Sonic’s last Nintendo exclusive sets to make it’s floor debut at E3. Sega showed off the trailer this past week of its next installment of the Sonic series. Fire and Ice is not limited to just 2D platforming. Players can expect a little of everything from 3D adventure to racing through levels. Fire and Ice looks to bring the “Blue Blur” back to his former glory.
