The E3 2016 Conference is here and EA is jam-packed with exciting announcements! Watch the live stream from Novo Theatre here.
As the conference started, EA’s E3 2016 briefing has been all about their big Star Wars project. EA plans to implement multiple Star Wars games. Their introduction video featured their multiple collaborations with DICE, Motive, BioWare, Visceral, and Capital Games.
EA also announced that their new Motive Studios is working together with DICE on the new Battlefront game. According to the announcement, the new Battlefront will include content from “the new movies.”
EA’s impactful Star Wars introduction showed how the team is working to creating their Star Wars dreams to life. They wanted their fans to say, “Wow. I never thought they were going to bring my Star Wars fantasy to life.”
EA has made their Star Wars project even more powerful by having the best game developers in the team.
DICE is working together with EA in the new Star Wars Battlefront game which will be released on 2017. BioWare is actually responsible for the continued development of Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes . Motive is working with DICE to develop a new Star Wars Battlefront game, while Criterion is said to be assisting EA in the development of an unnamed Star Wars project.
EA added that they wanted to create a fully immersive Star Wars experience and they want to take advantage of the massive storyline of Star Wars . As much as possible, EA wants to provide different perspectives in each game. They also want to explore on the different character plots and timelines in the Star Wars universe.
Madden NFL 17, Is John Cena Confirmed?
One other exciting news from EA is the announcement of the all-new Madden NFL 17 . According to EA, they will be introducing a new sports feature that will take advantage of the efficient simulation modes of football.
In the new Madden NFL , they will integrate a feature called Play The Moment which is an option within the Franchise Mode. This can convert the game into a compilation of 15-minute playable highlights.
Play The Moment allows you to get hands-on with only the key events. That could mean experiencing every third down but you can also expect lots of red zone plays, crucial punts, drives with only two minutes left, and lead-changing field goals. Expect the same with opening drives which, as any fan can tell you, often sets the tone of a game. It’s a filler-free collection of plays akin to playing an ESPN recap show.
According to Franchise Mode designer John White, this feature will allow the fans to experience a sense of moment-to-moment ownership.
“None of the moments are formulaic, scripted, or forced. It’s more of an organic ‘What happens?’ simulation. Our algorithm takes and chooses what it thinks are key moments. They’re snippets but they’re the snippets with the most impact. You’re playing an exciting, condensed version of Madden.”
Because of this new feature, fans speculate that John Cena would be the perfect fit for the new game. In one of the fan-made videos about Madden, they simulated John Cena in the game. So far, this is just a suggested character by most of the fans. EA has not integrated any celebrity in their announcements for Madden yet.
