Princess Kate refers to her daughter as spirited, and says that Princess Charlotte, can present a challenge. Prince William agrees that the little princess can be a handful.

Vanity Fair says that the birth of Princess Charlotte has transformed the modern monarchy, as Prince William wants to allow their family to have some normalcy. Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana worked very hard to give Prince William and Prince Harry a normal childhood, and William wants the same for his kids,
It is reported that just two days after Princess Charlotte was born, Prince William packed up his family and drove them almost two hours to Amner Hall in Norfolk where the family has been living ever since, having a quiet country life. Unlike royal families of the past, William is doing everything he can to avoid the glare of London life for his family.

Friends close to Prince William and Princess Kate believe that William is politely trying to avoid the media.
“It’s no secret that William doesn’t like the media intrusion into his life, and in the country he can escape. The Queen and the Prince of Wales have given their blessing for William to live this life, and William is very grateful. It’s enabling him and Kate to raise their family in a way that’s as close to ordinary as they can get. William doesn’t want George and Charlotte going through some of the experiences he went through growing up. Everything he does regarding his family is very deliberate.”
Amner Hall in Norfolk was where Prince William spent many happy weekends with his mother Princess Diana growing up. Queen Elizabeth gave Amner Hall to Prince William and Princess Kate as a wedding present, and the queen approves of the way Prince William is choosing to raise Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
