Von Miller: Denver Broncos Linebacker Refuses 100+ Million Dollar Contract, He Wants More!
Von Miller: Denver Broncos Linebacker, and Mr. Super bowl 50 MVP doesn’t seem to want to make things easy for his team if they want him under contract. Due to Miller’s actions, it seems that the negotiations to build a contract between the Broncos and Von Miller are at a standstill with neither side willing to budge.
According to CBS Sports, contract talks are completely off, since the Broncos have a 10 p.m. deadline on Tuesday to have Von Miller accept the six-year contract, benefiting him by $114 million. Which would allow him to be one of the highest paid, non-quarterbacks in the NFL.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that on Wednesday, Denver Broncos Linebacker Von Miller received an offer that would guarantee him nearly $39 million dollars for the first two years of his contract. However, Miller had no plans on accepting the deal.

With their hand being pushed the Broncos decided to remove their offer and push ahead with their plan-b, to go without a long term contract for their top dog linebacker. Perhaps, not the best outcome for Von Miller.
Speculation is that there is possibly a coup underway as a few other players are missing their off-season workouts, it’s also the frame of thought that the reason why Miller’s moved up deadline for accepting the contract has been so stressed, seeing as how teams have up until the middle of July to sign their franchise players. Among those missing teammates that are missing workouts are, Demaryius Thomas and Ryan Clady — Clady, who tore his ACL right after his signing and Thomas who continuously declines in terms of his performance.
Von Miller, Denver Broncos Linebacker with the idea of being the MVP 50 player, is understanding that he does have a wealth of power within him, and he wants the proper benefits and pay for his skills. And it’s appearing that he is looking for top dollar, $150 million or more.
And when you break things down, Von Miller is already guaranteed over $30 million for the next two years if he is on a simple, one year contract. So in his defense, it isn’t like his team is dishing out a ton of money for him to be locked in. Miller’s frustration is understandable.
Miller is 27 years old, and is a tremendous force on the field, but no one is without their faults or injuries and Von Miller has gone through a suspension previously and not too long after his suspension he also suffered from a torn ACL.
Von Miller, Denver Broncos all-star, just wants to make sure that he will have something to protect himself financially once he hits that 30-year-old mark he will want to ensure that he isn’t just left to hang on the line to dry. Football players only have a certain shelf life and after that, they need to make sure they have something to last them the rest of their life.
Earlier this year, the Inquisitr reported on Von Miller and his missing team practices, it is up to you to decide if all of this is linked together.
The main point of this ordeal is that it will take a lot more than chump change to sign Von Miller to any team, not just the Broncos; and it isn’t that Von Miller is trying to give his team a hard time, because he does truly love his fans and his teammates, but for an individual to work in a field for a duration of time and then one day to not be able to work in that same field, it takes a toll and makes the individual realize they have to think of the future. We wish Von Miller: Denver Broncos Linebacker and his team all the best.
