Ryan Reynolds’ Nude Scene In ‘Deadpool’ Was Created With CGI, Has The Actor Been Lying All Along?

Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian actor best known in the for his amazing performance as Deadpool, is receiving a lot of praise for his work on the film. With the recent release of the movie on Blu-ray, fans and critics cannot help but look back at how much justice he did to the role, and neither can the cast and crew. According to Entertainment Weekly, Tim Miller thinks that Ryan Reynolds was born to play the part of Deadpool.

Uproxx reports that new information has come to light about how Deadpool was made and, in particular, where CGI was used. The newly released Deadpool visual effects reel begins by showing how Ryan Reynolds’ character’s facial burns were created, but then goes straight into what fans really want to know: what was real and what was CGI in the nude fight scene?

And as it turns out, Ryan Reynolds has been lying to everyone when he said that he performed the nude scene legitimately. Because as it turns out, his penis was CGI created. Entertainment Weekly reported that Ryan Reynolds told Ellen what it was like filming the nude scene.

“You have a little talk with the crew at the beginning of the day; you just say, ‘You guys, you’re going to see things that you shouldn’t see.’ And you just kind of go for it. I kind of got an idea of what it’s like to maybe work in the adult film industry. By lunch time you’re just like, you know, ‘Oh, Greek salad’s good isn’t it?’ Just totally nude standing at the line. You just lose that sort of filter there. I’m not above taking my clothes off for money — that’s the bottom line.”

But if the scene was created with CGI, as has only just been revealed, then how much of what Ryan Reynolds told Ellen was actually true?

Most fans would know that this was not actually the first time Ryan Reynolds became Deadpool on the big screen. He also brought the character to life in the lackluster X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While fans and critics disliked the movie, there was a general consensus that Ryan Reynolds was the best thing about the film, and that he deserved the chance to bring Deadpool to life once again.

Shortly after, Ryan Reynolds got another chance to play a superhero on the big screen with his role in Green Lantern. The movie was received with mixed feelings, but once again it was Ryan Reynolds who was heralded as the only strong element of the movie.

His chance to become Deadpool once again happened when the test footage for the Deadpool movie leaked online. Shortly after the leak occurred, production moved forward with Ryan Reynolds in the lead, and the rest is history.

Tim Miller spoke on Ryan Reynolds and how the Deadpool character was meant for him.

“Ryan was born to play this role. His personality and his DNA is really infused in this character. He’s got this ‘boy next door,’ ‘nice guy’ look about him, and he really is that guy. He’s literally the nicest guy I’ve ever met, but he’s also nasty.”

A featurette on the Blu-ray also had producer Simon Kinberg singing Ryan Reynolds’ praises. Simon Kinberg spoke on how Deadpool feels like it was made for Reynolds.

“This character of Deadpool was just made from heaven for Ryan Reynolds, or Ryan was made for it. Either way, there is something about Deadpool that accesses the entire range of Ryan Reynolds.”

His roles in comic book movies have also given him happiness off-screen as he met his wife, Blake Lively, on the set of Green Lantern, and the pair has now been married for a little over three years. Ryan showed the world how much he loves her by giving her an assortment of flowers for Mother’s Day, according to Movie News Guide.

Photos of the bouquet of flowers were shared on Blake Lively’s Instagram account, captioned with a heartfelt thank you to Ryan. In the post, she also greeted her mother and her sister and she wished a happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in the world. Blake Lively ended the post saying that this was the best Mother’s Day in her life so far, and that is was all thanks to her husband.

Shortly after the photo went up, it was met with hundreds and thousands of likes along with over 600 comments. The post soon became viral, with fans gushing over Ryan Reynolds’ sweet gesture to his wife.

The couple has a lot to be happy for right now as they have a young daughter, James, and are expecting their second child later this year.
Individually, Ryan and Blake have also had significant success in their careers, with Ryan breaking records with Deadpool, which is considered to be the highest grossing R-rated film of all time, and Blake about to start shooting her new film The Shallow.

Ryan Reynolds’ wife posted a humorous photo on Instagram by way of a teaser for her upcoming movie.
