Grigor Dimitrov Can’t Concentrate With Nicole Scherzinger As Girlfriend?
Grigor Dimitrov, who once broke into the list of top 10 tennis players, is now on his downward spiral. Some are crediting his bad performance to a plethora of relationships that he has had the past few years, hinting that he might not be taking the game seriously enough.
“He was playing a Wimbledon tune-up on Tuesday in Stuttgart, Germany,” reports Fox Sports. “During this changeover, which was filled with the DJ playing the 2005 Pussycat Dolls hit Don’t Cha, Dimitrov led former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro, 4-3 in the first set.”

By this video, it looks like he can’t seem to concentrate very well with the song of his girlfriend playing in the background. Maybe this had something to do with his odd performance on court.
The rest of the game did not pan out so well for the Bulgarian tennis player.
“In a clash of former Wimbledon semifinalists, del Potro dismantled Grigor Dimitrov, 6-4, 6-2, in his Stuttgart opener,” reports Tennis Now. “It was del Potro’s first grass-court match since he lost to Novak Djokovic in the 2013 Wimbledon semifinals. He defeated Dimitrov for the third time in as many meetings.”
Del Portro was happy enough to dismiss the youngster to bid for his comeback this year on grass court.
“It’s a big victory for me after three years of not playing on this surface,” he said according to ATP World Tour. “I beat one guy who was playing great on grass court and I didn’t expect this kind of level to be my first match on grass, but I’m looking forward to keep going.”

But Grigor Dimitrov has not been playing well recently and has slipped as far down as number 36 on rankings. He was also ousted in the first round of French Open. Good thing that Nicole was there to console his loss.
“They have been plagued with split rumours in recent months,” reports Daily Mail. “Yet Nicole Scherzinger and Grigor Dimitrov truly silenced their critics as they put on an extremely cosy display during a trip to Paris on Sunday. The 37-year-old former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman jetted to the French capital to watch her beau, 25, play in the French Open Roland Garros – a match he sadly lost.”

Grigor has been filling his Instagram with only positive vibes, but it looks like none of that has rubbed off on his performance.

He once spoke about his continued bad performance in courts, in hopes of clarifying some of his choices.
“I’ve lost a lot of confidence in myself,” Grigor said to Sports 360. “It’s not easy to come off losing those kind of matches, those close matches. In the past years I’ve been winning those close matches and that gives you a lot of confidence and motivation… I’ve been there before but this time it’s just kind of different. Sometimes it’s scary of course, it’s just really scary.”
He also added that he is not sure how he is going to get his confidence level back up.
“What scares me is that I’m really not finding a way and usually I’m pretty good at bouncing back, whether it’s from a loss or something else,” he said. “A lot of losses have always motivated me – just right now it’s not happening.”
The Bulgarian has been trying to make changes in his life so that he can improve his game. One thing that he changed this year was to dump Maria Sharapova for his current girlfriend. Dating a high-power tennis player must have had some effect on his psyche.
But breaking up with Maria has not changed anything about his performance; in fact, it has gotten much worse as he struggles to get beyond the first round of any major tournament.
Do you think he will also split with Nicole Scherzinger in hopes of improving his career?
